I'm very new to this, but I really want to find a DDH-06 semiwhite head, but Volks said it's out of stock on their website, and I'm aware it's a very dumb question, but when will they restock things? Should I just reach out to them, or is the head fully out of stock and I should look second hand? Thank you so much!!

Dream Rescue: Does it work? Is it still available?

So I was on the Volks Japan store site, looking to see if they restocked this item, as I have heard (not a lot) some good things. But on the USA store, it says "out of stock" but as of today 7-2-2020, the dream rescue is completely missing from the site!? Is it just me? Am I missing it? Also does it even work that well to think about trying to find some / wait around for it to return?? -
Hello~! hm, i was just wondering if any of you think it will still be possible to get Sakura Miku at a reasonable price in the future? Or even from a friend shop? i know she might appear on mandarake someday but some dolls are rarer than others, right? So what do you think about it? I’ve seen some Yayoi appear on a friend shop not too long ago and even on mandarake at a good price! Would it be the same or is Sakura Miku rarer/more popular than Yayoi? 🤔

I've been drooling over Dollfie Dreams for years, but the price of buying new is way out of my budget, and when recently getting into Mandarake for 1/6 scale dolls, I saw they had a section for Dollfie Dreams. Seems like things are relatively inexpensive, around 28,000 Yen for a DDdy body. I wondered if buying used was a reasonable choice for budget, or if I should just save up to buy new? Also, I've seen a lot of heads that are shiny, like this one: https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1145946138&ref=flist&lang=en. What causes this? Is it fixable? She's such a good price that I don't want to pass her up, but I'm also very uninformed when it comes to Dollfie Dreams, so I have no idea if this is a sealant problem, age problem, or something that's super strange.

Hey! I'm manaphyyy and I live in Oregon. I've been collecting dolls for almost 3 years now, but mostly stuck to the resin bjd side of things. However I'm really getting into vinyl dolls lately and wanted to get to know more of this side of the doll hobby. Currently, I have a DD Hatsune Miku and a SmD Genesis (shown below), and I've been really eyeing one of the new MDD Mochi Ashi girls 👀 I'm excited to be here and happy to meet everyone! 😄

Hello!! It’s me again- 😹 i have an existential question.. which one is better between the volks body stocking and the volks body suit?? As a recent DD collector, i of course get very worried about clothes staining my dolls.. i have not use anything to protect my MDD yet as i only let her wear white and pastel clothing until now! But for my DDP i’m really considering getting one because she will have pop colored clothes sometimes(?) i guess.. i’m not ready to let them wear black, red, navy clothes yet though 😹 and i actually like the body stocking more because it’s more discrete and can be hidden well but does it protect from staining as well as the body suit?? i really don’t like the kinda turtle neck and sleeves on the body suit.. but if it works better i might as well take that and maybe modify it 🤔 please give me some advice! ^ ^

I have been curious about this for a little while, as I am furniture hunting for my 2 dolls. I'm looking for a chair or couch that would fit 1/3 scales. I know Volks has some items and Taobao shops, but where else should I look for furniture?

Hello! i was curious were most of you get cute jewelries for your dolls? I own MDD and DDP girls and i would love to have them wear cute jewellery. I know some are part of sets, i own a choker from a volks set but i was wondering if any shops/retailers also just sell bracelets/chokers by themselves! The only one i found was a a cute lotta mimi choker but i sadly lost the auction and there was no other listings like it ever since ☹️

Hi guys! I moved from the Arizona community to here in DFW Texas! In said move, I somehow found that my DDDy Miko's shoulder joint cracked and then fell apart! What do I do? Is there a replacement part I can buy or something? If so, where do I find this? I am so sad and frustrated because she is my FAVORITE dolly! And I feel like I can't even enjoy her! So depressing, lol.

Hello! Today i picked up my very first vinyl doll! After having bjds for almost 5 years i wanted to start with something new. Shes a Dollfie Dream Pretty Coron and i named her Mizuki. For my first vinyl i wanted to start with a basic set. However i would also like to start doing my own face-ups and perhaps in the future will atempt so on her... (lil question, what do i use to whipe the curent face clean with? I know so for bjds but vinyl is very new to me) Im very happy with her, but oh so scared to break her. Also compared to my bjds shes HUGE, i keep looking at her "holy shit...". So far i put her in a dress wich is too short but i dont hate it. I just want her to have some long sock or leggings. Also if you know where to buy clothes for DDP i will apreciate that alot :') Here are some pictures.

Finally I got my first Smartdoll so I decided to compare her with my dds to see the poses and aesthetic diferrences by myself. Then I found dds can't bend the back as SmD, so I wanna try modding the chest so both can move the torso almost in the same way at least. Any experienced modder that could give some advices?? I was thinking on cutting the low part of the bust or cutting a little hole in the back of the neck.

Hello, Recently I successfully de-stained a doll around the eyes and lips. I used Removez it stain remover per recommendations I saw online. As I did not have the dedicated cleaner for it, I used the alternative that was listed, white vinegar, to remove the residue. I cleaned with alcohol, mr clean magic eraser, and soap afterwards to be sure. I let it dry for 3 days. When attempt to seal the doll, where the previous stain remover was goes glossy vs matte (only where I previously de-stained). I wiped the sealant off. Let it dry another 2 days, and reattempted again. It is less so but still drying glossy in those areas with no 'tooth'. Now, I am not sure if its left over residue or the head needs even longer before sealing, as the head in those areas is a little soft/tacky but dry prior to sealing. Does anyone have experience or suggestions? Your help would be greatly appreciated as I really want to give her a new look, and hope the head isnt ruined. Thanks!

I've been browsing the web all morning looking for something, but I was wondering what all three skins look like side by side. I only have normal skin on two DD's and I just purchased another head in semi-white, but I just wanted to see the difference in color since on Volks website I can't really tell the difference (also it would be easier for side by side). So does anyone have any personal photos that have two contrasting DD's together? Or anyone know a blog, video or website showing the differences in colors? Thanks!

I forgot to take pictures of putting her together. I purchased her from a member here, the clothes and the head, so it didn’t come with the box. But it did have the slip with instructions for the clothes and dang did it need that. Pulling off arms, even had to take her head off to put the skirt on. Haha. She’s using a DD-f3 body not the DD III body she came with originally. The trio together at last! Thank you SO much, @jadepixel. -

I ordered a body off of Mandarake back in March and it just arrived, which got me looking for heads for my (soon-to-be) new girl. I know that eBay and Mandarake have heads with face-ups, but where else is it possible to buy heads? At the same time I've been looking for an artist to commission to possibly do a face-up if I can't find a head online that's already done, but it seems all artists commissions that I have found are closed 💔 So what's your go to place for looking for heads with a faceup? And where do you look for artists to do a faceup?
