  1. Well, I was finally able to get enuff time together to do this comparison shoot! I know it took awhile but I think it was worth the wait. I've got 3 bodies here to compare.... the original DDdy, a DD3 and Mirai. I tried to get a lot of pics of things that people have asked me about including specific shots of the bodies and heads so hopefully if you had those questions, I've answered them for you! Now, on to the photos! *WARNING* Dollfie nudity ahead! Can't do a proper body comparison without nude bits! With that out of the way, let's meet our models. To the left we have Mari on the original DDdy body with the regular bust. In the center is Mirai on her default body with the default S-bust. And to the right we have Saber on a DD3 regular L-bust body. Saber - "Why am I here again? I was sleeping so nicely before I was RUDELY awakened...." DSC_2244 by balldylox, on Flickr Alright girls, are yall ready to get down to business? Mari - "Sure thing, let's get nekkid!" Mirai - "Do I *have* to do this?" Saber - "Where are the waiters with snack trays? I am NOT getting nude without some type of food in the vicinity." DSC_2245 by balldylox, on Flickr The girls took off their shoes to show the differences in height. Mari is the shortest on the DDdy with Saber a close second to Mirai. Mirai is only barely taller than Saber is. DSC_2246 by balldylox, on Flickr Someone had asked for a side by side comparison of the 06 head and Mirai so here's a few pics from different angles of that: DSC_2247 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_2248 by balldylox, on Flickr I hadn't noticed this before but the mouth area on Mirai is way flatter than most DD heads.... DSC_2249 by balldylox, on Flickr BOOBIES! Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Anyway, here's the girls in their pantsu. DSC_2250 by balldylox, on Flickr It's easy to see the height differences here by looking at the shoulders. Now with Mirai and Saber, the shoulders are higher on Mirai but the head size and necks make them almost even in height overall. DSC_2251 by balldylox, on Flickr I took off their wigs so their hair wasn't blocking body pics. From the side you can see body lines and chest sizes. DSC_2252 by balldylox, on Flickr You can see the back arches here nicely. The DDdy is close in shape to the SmartDoll body. Also, you can see how the arm shapes differ.... Mirai's arms are a little longer and thinner. DSC_2253 by balldylox, on Flickr Bust sizes, torso seams and the shapes and head sizes. Mirai has quite the egg shaped noggin! DSC_2254 by balldylox, on Flickr Speaking of arms, the double jointed elbows are almost identical on the SD and DD3. DSC_2255 by balldylox, on Flickr A shot from the back. From left to right in case you forgot... DDdy, Mirai and DD3. DSC_2256 by balldylox, on Flickr The lower legs here look similar but have differences too. You can see the way the legs changed from the older DDdy body to the DD3, the slits are cut differently now. DSC_2257 by balldylox, on Flickr Here's the lower backs and booty! Of course the DDdy butt is wider and more full than the others but Mirai has a nice little hiney too. DSC_2258 by balldylox, on Flickr Now we need to swap busts for some L-bust comparisons. While we do that I'll show you the inner frame differences. As you can see, my Saber had her shoulder tubes break so I had to epoxy weld those back on and then do the zip tie fix to help hold them in place. So far this repair has held very well. DSC_2259 by balldylox, on Flickr Here's a shot from the side where you see the torso cuts and different shapes of vinyl openings for the inner frames. DSC_2260 by balldylox, on Flickr A little closer view of the shoulder tubes on each frame. At first I thought the Mirai tubes were kind of thin looking but now I see they're pretty beefy compared to the new DD3 versions. Plus the way they're attached gives you better positioning inside the body. DSC_2261 by balldylox, on Flickr Now for the L-bust comparison someone asked about. To the left is Mirai and to the right is Saber. DSC_2262 by balldylox, on Flickr As you can see, they're pretty close in shape and size overall. The position of the breasts on the torso is where the most difference can be seen. Mirai's breasts sit lower on the torso than the DD L-bust does. DSC_2263 by balldylox, on Flickr The DD bust is a bit more round in shape than the SmartDoll too. DSC_2264 by balldylox, on Flickr But since the Mirai boobs sit a little lower and are a bit wider, they look more natural in my opinion. This also makes them fit under clothes a bit more oddly than the DD ones do. I tried out a Volks dress set for the L-bust and the back zipper wouldn't go up all the way due to the breasts pushing out at the bottom of the front of the dress too much. A regular DD L-bust had no problem fitting in. DSC_2265 by balldylox, on Flickr Here's a close up or two of the arms, Mirai on the left and DD3 on the right. DSC_2266 by balldylox, on Flickr Mirai has hollow tubes for shoulder pegs while the DD3 has a channel cut in for pressure relief on the inner frame. But the pegs are almost the same size around. DSC_2267 by balldylox, on Flickr So does this mean the Mirai arms will fit into the DD3 body? Well.... no. Here's a shot of them on Saber: DSC_2268 by balldylox, on Flickr Problem is that they barely sit in there with any friction.... they're too small in diameter to hold themselves up at all. So this is a no go. People have asked whether or not a DD head can fit onto the SmartDoll body so I figured I'd check it out and see. Here's a close up of the two different head pegs, Mirai to the left and Saber to the right. As you can see, the pegs are NOT the same shape or size. DSC_2269 by balldylox, on Flickr BUT.... you CAN use some putty or tape around the neck peg in Mirai to make a DD head work. Here's Sabers head on the SmartDoll body. DSC_2270 by balldylox, on Flickr And here's why this doesn't work without some modification... the neck holes are different sizes. And it looks like my Saber has a small crack/split on her neck hole...... no wonder her heads been a little loose. >_< DSC_2271 by balldylox, on Flickr Now for some hand comparisons. The top one is from Mirai and the bottom is the DD3. It's clear that these will NOT swap out with each other. DSC_2272 by balldylox, on Flickr As with most other things on Mirai, the pegs are smaller. DSC_2273 by balldylox, on Flickr But they're also made better. The design seems more sturdy and less prone to breaking. I know that hook joint in the wrist of the DD has broken before and there's no fixing it once it does. I tried it when an MDD one broke and there was no saving it. DSC_2274 by balldylox, on Flickr A quick shot of the feet with Mirai to the left and Saber to the right. The feet look very similar but the joint at the ankle is more visible on Mirai. I think this is due to having her extra joint easier to move and adjust tho. DSC_2275 by balldylox, on Flickr Next up is legs. Seen here are the length differences between Mirai and the DD3. DSC_2276 by balldylox, on Flickr Mirai's knees are a bit higher up. Also, her thighs don't have that weird in-cut like Sabers do. DSC_2277 by balldylox, on Flickr I love this shot because it shows the big difference between the torsos and bust seam lines. Saber looks like she needs to eat a few more burgers while Mirai looks healthy and still trim. I like her tummy much more than the DD3 one, it's way more natural in shape. I also like the way the breasts sit with the seam line up high like on Mirai. So far this doesn't seem to affect her posability either. DSC_2278 by balldylox, on Flickr Torso seam lines from the side. DSC_2279 by balldylox, on Flickr Time for the DDdy comparisons! The DDdy is a little shorter than Mirai but not by a ton. DSC_2280 by balldylox, on Flickr But those thighs on the DDdy! Way thicker..... not that it's a bad thing at all. DSC_2281 by balldylox, on Flickr Tummy and boobs. I like the tummy on the DDdy better because it's closer to how Mirai looks. It has good shape to it without being skinny looking like the DD3. DSC_2282 by balldylox, on Flickr The seam lines here are really similar. You can also see the size difference between the breasts. DSC_2283 by balldylox, on Flickr People have said that Mirai's L-bust is between the Volks L-bust and the DDdy bust and that's about true. You can see the DDdy bust boobs are way more round than Mirai. And they sit higher on the torso than Mirais do. DSC_2284 by balldylox, on Flickr But overall size is kind of similar. DSC_2285 by balldylox, on Flickr From a top down view it's easier to see the size and shape difference. The DDdy is wider overall but Mirai's sit away from the torso further than the DDdy does. So they sit under shirts quite differently. DSC_2289 by balldylox, on Flickr This brings us to clothing fitting. Here's a Volks top from the Alna Everday Wear set. It's specifically for the DDdy busts. DSC_2290 by balldylox, on Flickr Side view: DSC_2291 by balldylox, on Flickr Now on Mirai it's a close fit but it's kinda loose too. DSC_2292 by balldylox, on Flickr From the side. I had to pull the two halves together as far as I could to attach the Velcro strips and make sure the top didn't slip down her back. But it still fits her alright. Not perfect tho. DSC_2293 by balldylox, on Flickr I cannot help taking pics of Mirai.... she's just too damn cute! DSC_2294 by balldylox, on Flickr "Awww! You think I'm cute?" DSC_2296 by balldylox, on Flickr "Whoo hoo! I'm cute!" DSC_2297 by balldylox, on Flickr AHEM. Getting back on point, here's another DDdy setup. This is normally on Manami and her Peach Pai but it actually fits Mirai very nicely! DSC_2298 by balldylox, on Flickr I think it works well because it's very stretchy and elastic so it fits her shape better. DSC_2299 by balldylox, on Flickr Sooooooo pretty! DSC_2300 by balldylox, on Flickr For our last outfit, I chose the Gangster set from Volks. It's also DDdy only. And it kind of fits her.... barely. DSC_2301 by balldylox, on Flickr See that top right button? It's holding on for dear life. Since her boobs sit lower on her chest, it makes the widest part of her breasts lower than a DDdy. So it puts more strain on the lower part of outfits like this. The DDdy boobs sit up higher so these buttons snap with no issues and sit under the breasts instead of in front of them like here. Also, see the way the skirt is sitting on her? I couldn't adjust it any more than this. It's way too l oose on her hips, she just isn't as wide as the DDdy girls in that area so skirts and pants/shorts don't fit her as well from these. DSC_2302 by balldylox, on Flickr Still, her L-bust looks good all stuffed in there.... DSC_2303 by balldylox, on Flickr Damn she's pretty! DSC_2304 by balldylox, on Flickr Well that's all. I hope most everyones questions got answered. If not, feel free to ask them here and I'll see what I can do for you. Thanks for looking! Billy
  2. Since I purchased my first vinyl doll in 2018, I have sought a peach pai bust after finding old Danny Choo posts singing their praises, as well as seeing them on several Dollfies and heaing even more rave reviews. Unfortunately, finding them second hand, let alone at their original retail price, was impossible, and at the time, I only owned one SmD. These two problems left the item coveted for quite some time. At the very end of 2020/the very beginning of 2021, however, I was given the chance to purchase Peach Pai busts directly from Raji directly. Around the same time werkaze released their MKIII bust, designed specifically for Smart Dolls. Keep in mind this was prior to Adkya Dolls releasing their flex bust for SmD, and while lamenting the fact wersaze did not make them in tea, only cinnamon and milk, it did give me an opportunity to take out my first vinyl girl, an OG milk Kanata and give her the first upgrade she's had since receiving the Large Bust back when 'headlights' were the standard and 'smoobies' were only on default busts. I ordered the wersaze bust December 30th and the Peach Pais (one regular, one 'plus') on January 1st. Both were estimated for roughly 2-4 months, which I was willing to wait for. They both arrived the last week of April. Unfortunately, due to recent family trauma and the USPS losing the wersaze package for over a week in a half, while they arrived around the same time, technically, i did not have time to really check them out until May. The Rajikaru Peach Pais came first, with a shipping notification, so I fully expected them. These were my first silicone busts and I had..... well, lower expectations, despite the reviews. I expected something that would feel sticky, and feel like sex toy grade silicone. However, I was pleasantly surprised. These felt nice, surprisingly high-quality. They were heavy and squishy without the 'implants' in. I do kind of regret getting pink nipples, however, especially on the plus, and I probably should have gotten one in each color--which is why I bought two different sizes for my girls. I also have to admit, I spent the first day taking them out of the package just squeezing them and not actually putting them on my dolls. These are designed and are just as easy to put on as Volks Vinyl busts. You do not need inserts or anything beyond the actual breast implants (or "cutlets", as someone has called them), which really, feel like they're optional and really just added firmness when you squeeze them. Admittedly, one of the reasons I wanted silicone busts is so I'd have something flexible that might let me wear tops and the like intended for smaller busts, an I tested out this theory with some CODENOIR bikinis meant for sizes SS-M. Nailed it. What I didn't nail was Seven's eyes. I switched out her fitter and replaced the bluetac and looking at these pictures, I really regret it. The wersaze bust arrived unannounced, while our regular carrier was on vacation. I eceived no email indicating it was shipped, or a tracking number, and the only indication I had that it might be coming is a partial refund a few weeks prior, which I contacted them about and was told they over-estimated on the shipping (all while not saying whether or when it was shipped out). I was off that day, and instead of a package at the door I received a pink slip in my mailbox indicated a package with the recipient's name being the owner/making of wersaze, not me, the sender as "Hong Kong". And the reason it was not delivered was "due to COVID" . Which was..... weird. I rescheduled it to be delvered the next day, and received no updates at all for over a week. After filing a claim, I got a reply that it would be delivered but I had to be there to sign for the package. ..... and then they literally just tossed it at my front door and walked off. Despite the lighting, I assure you that this is a milk bust (really, it's the lighting, as you'll see). I think the biggest differences is that the wersaze MKIII does require and internal frame piece to keep its shape. It also came with a small ring that you put around the neck peg to keep the head/neck in place, I assumed. It looks a bit saggy in this pic, while taken apart/without the inserts. I did not order this one powdered, or painted, beforehand. s I figured I could try my hand at painting or leave it as is. Without powdering, it was sticky feeling, but not terrible. However, the implants were really sticky, and even left residue in their bags. They also didn't fit as well inside the boobs as the peach pais do, but these are pretty small inconveniences, considering you don't see any of them.

Made a stool inspired by a NSFW figure

So, I saw this figure some time ago and thought I could make this stool easily using hobby planks of walnut. Easy was an understatement, carving and sanding was a difficult task and took longer than I expected since i was using hardwood. This is the finished product, with interchangeable seats, one made of wood and the other (NSFW) made from acrylic Now I needed a base, something using bricks. So I modelled and printed a bunch of bricks and played around with the configuration. Gave it a coat of paint and eventually ended up with this. With an interchangeable base, one tiled and the other mirrored (NSFW). Also printed some plant pots and bought some foliage from the hobby store. And here's one of my girls modelling. And being a little bit naughty
  4. Now that it's getting warmer but the high humidity common during Japanese summers hasn't hit yet, I'm considering blushing the nipples on my DDS. The doll painting tutorials I found so far are usually for faces. And while these gave me a decent Idea on the proper use of Mr. Super Clear, I presume the painting techniques for body blushing are a bit different. I really don't have any experience with painting, so it would be great if you could point me to tutorials regarding the matter at hand or leave related advice here. Would stuff like the Volks pastel colors be a viable option here (even though they are officially intended for SD)? Thanks for helping out!
  5. I love the sculpting of the ap boobs but I hate the permanently hard nips does anyone have tips for minimizing them or as a last resort sanding them off
  6. Hi everyone, I wanted to share my hybrid ! I 'm obsessed by the AZO2 curves and wanted to give my angel philia a body update Things to know : The AZO2 is not in soft vinyl and my angel philia is. I try dif configuration as i wanted to keep at least the tummy/tight or tight in soft vinyl but that wasn't possible 😕 the pieces wasn't really compatible with the tummy/tight or just tight of my angel philia, proportion was way off or just wasn't even fitting 😕 Anyway, i decided to then change bust, torso and tight and the end here is the final result. I think it actually look super good on both 😄 Left is the azone with Angelphilia bust/tummy/tight and right is my AP with the AZO" bust/tummy/tight hope that help I don't own the left one anymore but if you have question for the right one let me know ^^ Here is:

    Sophia Photo Thread

I have another thread for actual character work on Sophia, but figured I'd make a repository specifically for photos - or at least some of them. I've not yet ironed this outfit, but couldn't resist getting some photos of her in it anyways. It took me a solid hour to wrangle out a knot that formed in the jewelry chain on her side, though... Her wig's a mess & not even styled yet, I've been terribly lazy about getting to that - but having her in proper clothes might incentivize me some.

    Mayumi's Photo Blog

Pardon the cross posts. I just wanted to have a repository of the posts I make with Mayumi and her character to keep a sort of blog of her new life on Zeta-C (an orbital space colony in my fictional world)
  9. I've been slowly accumulating various pieces to put together a character of mine - loyal housemaid & head of a certain gentleman's household. And, while she's far from complete (eyes, bunny ears... a custom face up, to name a few things), the lass herself arrived today and I'm absolutely thrilled to have her home. Miss Masya Clementine, affectionately nicknamed 'Ruby' by those close to her. Even though she ultimately won't be keeping this face up, I must admit it I adore it. Now, as I mentioned, I have been slowly accumulating pieces to get her as close as possible to what I'd like her to be - so before I can doll her up, she'll need to be disassembled & reassembled. On the left is the body I wanted for her (C3 Bust, C Lower Torso & Thighs) - and on the right is how she came to me (G Bust, H Lower Torso & Thighs). She was always supposed to be a touch more slender - and I have the H body type on my other lass, Sophia, whom the curves suit much better. Once she was properly assembled, I tossed on a few accessories & decided to see how she looked next to Sophia (who... is still waiting on her own garments. So sorry, angel.) I'm utterly in love with how they look next to each other - but enough of that, it's time to get Miss Clementine dressed. I do intend to do some alterations & sewing of my own to get a gown closer to her original design. But since her gentleman won't be home for a good few months, I have time to make it perfect - no need to rush. Thank you for looking! 🌹

    Sophia

A workspace for my lass Sophia; disgustingly over-financed heiress and, frankly, just a bit of a brat. A character that exists in a larger world of mine, alongside a varied cast of characters. She'll make an introductory appearance in a writing one-shot, along with her full character bio, over on my Patreon - but I tend to keep my usual content & doll hobby quite separate, so I figured this is as good a repository for the latter as any. The very first image of her that popped into my head was a vaguely 1940's-50's era silhouette, more specifically a fitted gown or top with a longer skirt, and a loose, blousy fur stole or some equivalent. The initial plan was to include opera gloves for the little historical touch, but I've discarded the idea for the time being - both because I feel like it'd be a pain and risk staining her doll, and also because I liked the idea of her hands being bare. While I've played around a fair bit with her color palette, I've settled on white & pale peach/purple colors. Despite some of my current photos, her wig is truly more of a dark chestnut plum color, and I for some reason was enamored by the blend of earthy tones and more fantastical purple, despite not typically being fond of the violet family, and built her palette from there. Also fur. And then pearls... lots of pearls.... My first challenge with her right off the bat is her wig. While she has a very lovely wig of decent quality, due to the nature of it's build & the stiffness of the fibers, it floats in an almost Ghibli-esque way, much further from her face than her art. My current idea is to purchase the same wig again, and create a version of flatter lying hair, that harbors more of the pinned down and slicked back look I'm going for with her. Hard to tell from the rough art, but the front portion of her hair is pinned, pulled back behind her ears, with the rest falling over it, but still clinging quite close to her neck. My current plan is to make a tight-fitting wig cap & harvest the fibers from the duplicate wig, most likely gluing wefts in set positions to create the illusion I'm going for. That will mean some limits in poses, in theory, but could be worth it for photo. I'd rather have her current wig, floaty as it is, as a back up - since I am quite fond of it, minor details aside. The other challenge is her face up. The default makeup on Angel Philia girls is plenty charming, but her eyebrows are notably out of character - lending much more to an innocent or shy personality as opposed to her bratty confident, entitled one. I'll readily admit I have zero practice with face ups, and absolutely no experience with vinyl. My assumption is I wouldn't be able to wipe just the brows off and redo them - and even if I could confidently do so, I am in no way confident I have a steady enough hand to paint on matching brows. Will this warrant a face up artist? I am not yet decided... because I'm really quite fond of her face as it is, and don't want to lose the charm, particularly her lips. (That said, my other AP lass that is on the way will be getting a wipe + new face up, so it's possible when the time comes, artist slots permitting, I just send both of them out for new paint.) I have also struggled to find shoes that are exactly what I want for her, as everything I find that's suitable for her only ever seems to come in SD sizes. This may mean modifying the pair of shoes I've ordered for her (a simple pair of white pumps) or making something from scratch. Then there's the challenge of her bust - I've already accepted much of her clothing will need to be sewn by hand to her specific proportions, but I welcome that challenge. The hardest part I believe will be finding the right fabric that drapes over her body.

    Made some AP sized magazines

Mayumi showing a few sample prints of the latest magazine editions. She takes a read to catch up on Zeta-C giant boobs culture and news. I ended up making a few of them considering Mayumi does intern for a media company. And because I'm connecting her with my fictional world, the magazines actually have readable cover to cover content that add to the lore of said world. __________________________________________________________________________ Making AP scaled stuff is interesting cause I see everyone call AP's 1:3 but they're actually a little more like 1:3.5, so I had to do some guess-timations for these books. Here's my logic to get proper AP scale for the mags (and things in general.) AP height: 48cm x 3 = 144cm (4'7") < waaaaay too short unless she's like 8 with that insane body...... 48cm x 3.5 = 168cm (5'5") < much better, and seems to hold close-ish scale with other real world objects Paper size: Letter 8.5" x 11" scaled by 3.5 = 2.42" x 3.14" Process: Because I was making actual content I made use of an open source page layout editor called Scribus. Size the doc to the dimensions above ( or your preferred scale paper size) and create pages in multiples of 4 if you're doing spreads or multiples of 2 if you'll be gluing single pages. Export as single page images when done. Spreads) rearrange to make spreads in proper order from outside to center (I do this irl so this part may be confusing, refer to an actual stapled magazine or my example below). You will need to do this twice so you can print one full page layout on the back of the other. Cut the pages out as 2 page spreads, fold and glue at the spine of each spread. Glue the center of the inner most spread to help keep it closed and flat. Trim edges and your done. NOTE: Don't use too much glue just a teeny tiny bit. It will hold very well and you don't want to end up gluing pages together. NOTE2: Don't put content too close to the edge as the inner pages will get cropped a tiny bit in the final step. Single pages) A lot easier. Leave the cover as a spread cause it will be wrapping over. Put the odd pages on one layout, and even on the other - but in mirrored order. Cut the cover as a spread, then cut your individual pages. Glue them all together at the spine and wrap the cover spread over. Trim edges and your done. NOTE: Don't put content too close to the edge as the inner pages will get cropped a tiny bit in the final step. If possible I recommend using the lightest(thinnest) possible double sided gloss paper. I was able to get inkjet 42lb double sided gloss from amazon which prints nice had had a good shine for the cover and pages. I think there may be even lighter gloss papers for color laser but I don't have safe access to test for my naughty werx lol.

    DDS f3 Unitorso

This is a project that I've wanted to do for awhile, but I kept putting it off because I wasn't really certain it would work. My favorite girl is Makoto Kikuchi who is originally a unitorso DDS, and as much as I love the f3 body I was never willing to give up her unitorso body because she tends to wear stuff that shows off her midriff. I tried stuffing the f3 upper frame into Makoto's body the day Saber Altria arrived, but it didn't go well. I stopped before getting it in because I didn't want to damage the torso, or lose the f3 frame, which couldn't be purchased on its own at that time. I recently happened upon a video by @MaKayla_Panda on YouTube, in which she hybridizes an f3 with an L-Bust untorso. Her video proves that yes it can be done, and no it's not easy. This inspired me to give it a second try armed with a bit more know how. Before I go any further I want to point out that doing this isn't likely to be supported by Volks. They clearly mark certain body parts as incompatible with the new f3 frame, so ignore that advice at your own risk because it's almost certainly going to void the warranty, or at least void the warranty on the torso parts. To get it done I did the following: Made sure all the torso parts were properly tightened, because it's quite possible that I will never be able to get the upper torso back out. Stuck an S-Bust unitorso in a plastic zip-lock bag, forced all the air out, and then immersed the sealed bag in a pot of very hot tap water. I didn't need to boil water to get the body soft enough and I didn't get it squishy soft. Then I just started to push the upper torso in. Once it was in far enough I stopped and made sure that the neck peg was lined up with the neck. If they are misaligned and the torso won't come back out far enough to re-align them, you may end up with a useless unitorso, so if you try this I would be very careful not to omit this step. After the neck part was lined up I just pushed it the rest of the way in. It didn't take me more than 3 or 4 minutes start to finish to get it in, but I have pretty good hand strength, and it's possible I just got lucky and everything lined up just right. I am reasonably sure I will be able to get it back out for adjustment, but I didn't try and the arm holes don't give as much room as the leg holes, so no guarantees. There are also some slight differences in the vinyl, and the unitorso is missing a flange that keeps the hip centered. I am reasonably sure this will be much easier with Takane's DD sized unitorso, because the upper torso frame appears to be the same on DDS and DD and the DD sized unitorso should be a bit larger in the waist. Anyways, introducing the new and improved Kikuchi Makoto-san. She wanted to wear lacy underwear with bows, but it didn't show off her hips. She wasn't happy about the topless part either, but Ranko refused to give up her bra for the photo shoot. I'll post better photos this weekend.
  13. Hello everyone! I am so excited to share with you my first girl in three years, and my very first MDD (though she'll probably move up to a DDP soon). This is my new girl Reina! She is an MDD Rena Ryugu and if you know anything about Higurashi, Rena's legal name is Reina, but she changes it after her parent's divorce. I personally like the spelling of her legal name, and I like to give all my girls different names from their original character dolls, so hence the name change. Without further ado, here are the box opening pictures! and a cute little story of her meeting Lana. Her box came in extremely rough condition from DHL. To the point where my contact asked me if I wanted to pursue a replacement if the doll box itself was damaged. I opted not to because the doll box was fine at this point in time, and I was just so eager to get her in my hands that I did not care. When I finally got her in my hands, the doll box was pretty dented, but I was literally shaking with excitement so I couldn't care less. The box itself was extremely light compared to other Dollfie Dreams I have opened in the past, but I think this thought comes from the last Dollfie I opened being Jeanne, and how heavy and tiring she was to lug around the airport to get her home. AHHH! THERE SHE IS! LOOK AT THAT FACE! So, so sweet! Her head is really large and looks similar to my Moriko (DDdy Yoko). Reina: Oh! Hello there Mrs. Giant! Me: Hello Reina! My name is Redacted but since I am showing you to all my dolly friends, I would prefer it if you could refer to me as Rozen just for the forum stuff. Reina: Oooh! You have a secret identity?! That's so kyute~!!! Ok, Mrs. Rozen, I am so happy to be out of that box, but can I please have some clothes now? Me: Of course! Time to get her dressed! Reina: Oooo! I'm so kyute! I love this outfit! Me: Awe I'm glad you like it, Reina! Reina: Huh? What's this piece of fabric next to me? Lana: Eh-hem. Reina: Oh my! Reina: He-hello! You startled me! Lana: Hello little one! I am Lana! I am so happy to meet you. Mrs. Rozen has been talking about you almost non-stop since seeing your listing on the weird dimensional screen. Something called Mandarake? No matter. I am so happy you're finally here. It has been lonely these past three years without other friends and my dear sister here. Reina: Oh wow you were alone for three years?! All by yourself? That's so sad! Lana: Well I had Mrs. Rozen's company, however, I miss being in Japan surrounded by my friends and sister. Reina: Well don't worry Mrs. Lana! I am here now and we can be friends! Lana: I would love that little one! Me: Awe I am so happy you two are getting along! Both: Yes! Thanks, Mrs. Rozen we're so happy to have another girl in the cottage! Me: Well I have some more exciting news loves! In about two weeks we are going back home to Japan and you'll get to be together with everyone once again! Both: WHAT?! Haha well seems like both the girls are beyond excited for that little bombshell! In fact, Lana cried a little bit and Reina turned a bright shade of red from the fact that she'll be meeting 3 other girls shortly. Below are some extra pictures I took of Reina! Thank you so much for reading my silly little story and welcoming my new girl into the community!

    The mystery box

A little while ago a parcel was delivered to my doorstep. After I brought it in, Miura was the first to the scene. Let's see what she managed to find inside. And as such, we now have another resident and a grumpy girl at our house.

[NSFW - MDD nudity] Naughty Miura

Hello everyone! I was bored during my lunch break today, so I decided to take some photos of Miura instead of eating. 🥪❌ She's already looking sorta naughty by default, given her skimpy outfit, but today is extra naughty! (I mean, why get nipples painted and then not show them off, right? Right?) Also, please forgive using the same backdrop as in most photos. The weather is dreadful, and I hate cold so I'm not going outside! (And my housemates might look at me weirdly if I set up shop in the kitchen or something. 😅) Anyway... All right, that's quite far enough, young lady. Let's not go too overboard, okay? 😳

    A2 (Nier: Automata)

I finished A2 a while ago but I was lazy and forgot to upload photos until now lol She is a DDdy with a modded M bust.
  18. After many years of toying with the idea, I have finally purchased multiple dolls while in Japan. Specifically, I have a first gen Miku, a MDD and shall also be getting a DDB. On the plus side, I love all my new dolls. On the minus, they need to move thousands of miles when I go back to the US in September and so I’m interested to hear if anyone else has dealt with this, and/or has thoughts on the best ways to do it. So far I’ve thought of a few options. 1. Have the moving company handle them - concern here is I’ll be shipping by boat I am not sure they’d do well with months in transit. Though I will note that the moving company will have insurance for damages. 2. Carry them on my return flight - likely the safest option, but carryon space is at a premium. Dedicating space for all three dolls might be tough 3. Ship them via DHL/FedEx/UPS to my parents house and then ship them again to me - Likely the most expensive option, but would get me my dolls whole faster than option four. Again risk of damage in transit but can also be insured. 4. Carry on the heads and boy body parts, ship or let the moving company handle the rest - Currently I find myself leaning towards this as it has me keeping the parts that are difficult to replace but taking a risk on those that I can easily get again.

    80 cm anime TPE doll

Just to amuse you, I wanted to show off my 80cm TPE doll. Now, these dolls aren't for anyone, I think. I just thought this one was really cute. However, TPE as a material has serious drawbacks and I would not buy again. Also, finding clothes for the doll is a chore... (yes, technically it is a 'sex doll', but custom made without the 'functionality'. Which I kind of regret now, it would be easier to sell XD)
  20. The crew before getting naked 😂 Some quick notes before we start, from left to right we have: DD III SS Bust, Semi-white Skin, Custom DD-16 Head DDB F3, Flesh Skin, DD-25 M-03 DDSB F3, Flesh Skin, DD-12 M-02 (yeah sometimes he and the DDB don’t look the same color in the following pics but they are so…magic of lighting lol) Obitsu 45 Male Body by Parabox, Modded Flesh DD-08 head, Modded to use Large Flesh MDD hands (no longer fits obitsu without heat bending so yeah, MDD hands in pics) Now, time to lose some clothes. The DDIII is the tiniest bit taller, but I assume this is a generation issue and and f3 would be the same? If anyone knows, feel free to chime in. When it comes to hips and thighs, the DD is the clear winner. This actually gets interesting when putting on tighter pants like jeans. It can be a pain in the you know what to get them on my DD but they slide on to my DDB like a dream and look great. Suppose only worth noting if anything is ever released just to fit a DDB because otherwise anything getting over DD hips will fit your DDB. Also not a surprise to see DD win in the booty category. DDB/DDSB are a little flat in that department (their torso parts are identical). Obitsu on the other hand has a surprising bubble butt haha The height difference is all in the legs, which becomes more apparent when they sit down (you’ll see that soon). Arms are also a tiny bit shorter on the DDSB. There is definitely a difference in their chests, but under clothes it does become pretty hard to tell. The difference in hips stands out more tbh but it doesn’t bother me. So yeah, using a SS bust DD as a sub in for a boy is pretty effective unless you want topless photos. Clearly, the Obitsu is smaller haha an obitsu 50 though… I feel like you could slide one in as a short friend. A 45 or 40 though is going to come off as a child next to a DD/DDSB if you ask me. (Which is all good because Mir definitely is a mischief causing child.) Left to Right - DD, DDB, DDSB, Obitsu with Large MDD Hands DD/DDB arms appear to be identical - just note that large hands don’t come standard with a DD so you’ll have to buy those separate. You could also use regular hands. I just like the large ones haha DDSB arms are a tad shorter, so going to get some too long sleeve issues I imagine. And here you can see how the boy’s height difference (and the DDIII’s) is in the legs - seated they basically appear the same height. Feet wise, the pegs on the DDSB and DDB feet are a different size, but the vinyl cast foot is either identical or so minutely different that I cannot tell. The DD’s feet are notably larger, which I will again chalk up to generational differences. Ending notes: If you’re going to hybrid an obitsu, you’re probably better off using semi-white skin. I had flesh so that’s what I used, and I disguise the contrast by using a mdd flesh body stocking. The hand mod is simply putting epoxy on the arm pegs to make them large enough to hold the mdd hands. This hand mod was inspired by this post and followed the same process: You can somewhat sand down a SS bust, but not very much as the vinyl is thin. See Here: Where to buy? To get an SS bust DD brand new, you will have to buy a DD body and a separate SS bust piece. The nice thing is these are generally always available from volks. Second hand, you may find DD III SS bust bodies in semi white because people are upgrading their original Miku’s - usually not a cash savings but, it’s an option. DDB is available via Dream Choice in the Akihabara and Osaka Dollpoint Stores. If you are overseas, you will need a proxy to purchase. Secondhand, Kirito used a DDB body, but is on the third gen frame, Flesh Skin. 9S is a DDB on an F3 frame, Semi-white skin. DDSB is only available via Dream Choice in Akihabara Dollpoint. If you are overseas, you will need a proxy to purchase. Secondhand, Len used a DDSB body with the third gen frame, Flesh Skin. Parabox sells their boys in their online store, but they aren’t always in stock so you’ll just have to check periodically for when they appear. Worth noting that when these guys show up second hand, the tend to be 50-60 dollars cheaper so keeping tabs on mandarake and dollyteria if you are in the market for one is worthwhile. Clothing Tips Based on What I’ve learned so Far 1. If it’s a shirt etc. that also fits SGrb, it’s going to be baggy, like this. Great if you want the oversized look, but not so great if you don’t. This is a common problem for DDB but you can find more fitted clothes if you look in the Tenshi No Koromo line. 2. Pants that fit SD will NOT fit. They will be too big in the waist and too long. If they are a fabric dress pant, you can likely cheat with a safety pin at the back, but yeah, these are not going to work out of the bag. (Except maybe things with an elastic waist like gym shorts if something like that pops up.). Anyways, in general, pants made to fit DD/DDB are the safest bet. 3. Sometimes finding clothes means buying sets with pieces you don’t need. There might be a great top that comes with a skirt, or good pants that come with a blouse that doesn’t work. This means reselling parts of outfits is your friend. 4. Some parabox tops are marked to fit obitsu 60. These should fit a DDB pretty well. Things marked to only fit 50 or smaller are a gamble as they may or may not work. I’d error on, if it’s made to fit loose then you’ll probably have wiggle room but if it’s structured, probably not going to work. If I ever find my rolling tape measure, I’ll try to get some precise measurements - right now it is hiding from me. The End ☆~

My first girl [NSFW - contains cleavage]

Hello everyone, Meet Naoko, my one and only Dollfie Dream for now. (Keywords: For now) She's a Saber Extra model that I got a really long time ago. It's almost been 10 years by now. No customisation has been done to her, other than putting her in some new clothes and getting a wig. I'm undecided as to whether I'll keep her in this wig, or get her something new eventually. Also, the poor girl needs to hold her hair out of the way to see anything. I desperately need to get her a hair pin. 😄 I'm not great at poses or taking photos, but I tried my best:
  22. Got to make my boy today ^^ name still pending... went with flesh skin and the DC-H-14 head with M2 makeup for a softer look. Eyes are 20mm grey T-type. He comes with the large type hands, which I think I’ll be sticking with should I be buying him any alternatives. One thing I didn’t know I could do was add on an extra wig. When I was told I could do that I went ahead and got a high ponytail for my Miku, which she has on below though it’s hard to tell. Amusingly, it was cheaper to have his COA written with the ponytail so it says that instead of the wig he actually is using below, a back heroic wig. On the whole I’m very happy with how he turned out. The one thing I’ve noticed that I don’t like is his upper torso tilts back very easily, and after checking the joint tightness, it doesn’t seem like that is the issue. My Miku doesn’t do that but she’s a DDIII body so not sure if that’s common with DDf3 in general or if it’s because of the male chest piece. It makes posing a more finicky process, though I’m getting better at managing it. (In general the body moves much smoother and quieter than Miku’s body, though some of that may be bc her previous owner made the joints pretty tight and I haven’t tried to adjust them) Pictures of base body Trying some different outfits, eyes and wig. Still deciding what I like best haha and one random thing I found interesting, the dream fitter is white, while the one you can buy in store is grey.

MDD Mochi Ashi Body Arrival! (Nudity)

My girl's body arrived along with the extra bust I got second hand. The match isn't perfect color-wise but that's okay! Her legs are super cute! And I love the way the vinyl feels. ^^ She poses very nice! Now I'm just waiting on her head & clothes to arrive! This is my first Dollfie Dream and I'm already loving her. Can't wait to see her all full assembled and dressed!

    Zero

My most precious is now kinda finished: Zero from Drakengard 3. Actually I got the wig for my MDD, but after seing a custom DD 2B I got the urge to make Zero again. Above is she now with her custom face up, below is the default one. Still lots of work to do, but I'm very content with the wig, eyes and face up (Pictures are from my twitter: https://twitter.com/ruin_lilien)
  25. I recently pieced together my dream girl Alna from the secondhand market, and while I wanted to put her on her original Dynamite body, I'm just. Not a fan of the default DDy bust! It gaped awkwardly where it joined the torso, I didn't like the gravity-defying shape, finding clothes I liked was hard, and sewing them was even harder (princess seams *and* darts? at 1:3 scale? ma'am.) Thanks to baldylox's helpful comparison thread I knew it was possible to mod DD parts for the DDy body. A DD3 L seemed like it would suit Alna's character design while being easier to clothe. I wanted to post a quick walk-through of how I successfully modified it~ Original bust on the left, new bust on the right, soft graphite pencil for marking, and a tool called a sewing gauge that will be serving as calipers for the next step. The sewing gauge helped me measure a set perpendicular distance away from the edge of the piece and mark a neat cutting line with the pencil. The new bust was quite soft, so I used the corner of my worktable to support it from behind as I cut. As I worked my way along I realized I preferred a wider margin under the boobs, so I ended up cutting to the outside of my dotted line. Once I made my right-angle cuts to get the outline where I wanted it, I gently shaved down the corners of the cut edges to begin making a soft bevelled profile. For the next step, I decided to try something new to deal with the softness of the vinyl. I popped the bust part in the freezer for ten minutes. As expected, this made it nice and plastic-hard so I could sand it easily. I worked through 320, 400, 800, and 1500 grits. When the piece softened I'd refreeze it for a couple of minutes. All reassembled! I'm so happy with how this mod turned out. Some shots from the side and back Thanks for looking!
