Hey everyone!!!! ....I saw these in the other areas but not here yet so I figured I would start one. At the moment my Parabox dolls are my obsession so I love showing them off and taking photos of them! Post any random doll photo you want here! Just keep it SFW (Safe for work!) I will start out with an old photo of my girl Kira ... she is a Himeane Parabox head on a 40cm Parabox/Obitsu body. She dove into a pile of plushies at a convention vendor space. Tsk. Naughty dollie!

hello all! i am as new as new can get when it comes to bjd customization & owning bjds in general. i recently received my 24cm parabox doll & am interested in customizing her to look like an oc of mine, though i've run into a few troubles... i bought a pre face-up'd head and need to add a beauty mark under her eye. and since this character is a robot, she has robot ears akin to hmx-12 multi from to heart. what would be the best way to go about adding these? since i'm not doing an entire faceup, using pencils would probably be easiest. any recommendations for type or brand? assuming i'd need to seal the beauty mark, any sealant tips and tricks would be appreciated as well... or would i even need to, since it's such a small feature? her head was done with tampography technology & a hand-painted finish, so would adding a layer of my own sealant maybe mess with what was already done? i asked a friend about molding her ears & he suggested polymer clay but the main issue is how to attach them. i'd prefer if they didn't come off but it would probably be easiest on the head to not use glue. i read a post on here about someone attaching elf ears to a doll of theirs using "patafix" so perhaps that's a good choice, though their doll head and mine could be different materials. i thought this would be one of the best sites to ask. hearing something from people who know more about this stuff than i do would definitely help. sorry for all of these questions, and thank you to anyone who reads or has some advice to give! and of course, here's my girl so far. i plan on getting her a new outfit & shoes soon, as well as everything else needed to make her look like her. (^_^)

hybrid Can you put a Parabox 1/6 head on a Pureneemo body?
meteorite posted a topic in Questions & Answers
I've just begun my doll-making journey, inspired by the aesthetics of 1/6 Pureneemos! But I also love the look of glass eyes as seen on most other BJDs. It seems Parabox produces anime-style heads with eye pockets at the same 1/6 scale as Pureneemo. Here's the head I'm specifically interested in: https://paraboxshop.jp/goods_en_jpy_6519.html I own a Pureneemo M body (normal bust) - would the Parabox head be able to attach to it? I don't want to spend a ton of money and find out the combination won't work only after it arrives. ( 〃▽〃) -
My collection is pretty eclectic, but it's one I'm very proud of! Almost all of my dolls and parts are secondhand, with a couple of very rare exceptions that I'll point out as part of the doll's introduction! And every single one uses parts from other companies. First up is Eiran, my #1 favorite boy! He's a Smartdoll Eiji head in Milk, with a factory faceup that I added to slightly. An extremely lucky secondhand find from a collector on Instagram, who had originally got him directly from the outlet store from what Danny now calls the Chaos section! This head is currently with Synthetic Ephemera for a resin wig commission, so for the time being I'm using an unmodified Suzaku head for him: He was originally on an Obitsu 50 boy body, but another lucky secondhand find let me snag a like-new 55 body from the owner of a closed-down French toy store, which I then added 60cm arms and legs to in order to make a 60 boy. He uses Dollfie Dream, Smartdoll, and Obitsu 65 hands interchangeably depending on what hand pose I want, so depending on which hands he's using, he often reps all 3 major vinyl companies at once! Second is my oldest and most sentimental vinyl, Olive! She is a Gretel47 head (a rare purchase directly from Parabox) with an Azone frankendoll body consisting of the lower half of an AZM3 body, an Azone G bust, and Angel Philia B type arms. The AZM3 abs and the B's buff arms really give her a muscular, outdoorsy look that I love, a vast improvement from the stock Obitsu 50 body I had her on originally. The faceup is my own work, and if she looks a little like Smartdoll's Resilient, that's intentional! I bought her as my first specifically because I really wanted Resilient at the time, but she just financially wasn't doable for me, so I referenced her faceup to make my own! I like Olive a lot more than her inspiration now. ^^ Next is Erato, my demon girl! She's a DDH-01 custom on an Obitsu 50 body! As you can see, she uses DD hands as well. She's a nice low-budget alternative to a DDP, and wears the same size clothing! She's also the first and only resin character I had that I completely reshelled into vinyl when I switched over. Next is Ambrosia, the real owner of that Suzaku head Eiran's borrowing! He's another old character of mine shelled as a doll, and is on what I call my "desperation hybrid" body. When you find an Obitsu 65 torso on Mandarake but only have 60cm limbs available, you make do! I plan on seeing if I can get DD Dynamite thighs to work with the rest of his parts, their thickness would probably save him a bit from his sad "skinny legs" look. Poppy is next, and notable for being my first foray into modding my own heads! I bet you can guess what I did to her. 😉 She's a custom Gretel47 on an Obitsu 40 body with an Angel Philia flat bust. The head and body were purchased direct from Parabox, but the bust wasn't! Last, but certainly not least, is Euphemia, a hybrid with a resin head! She is a Doll Chateau Snowborn head on the old 3-part Obitsu 60 body before they switched over to the ball jointed version. She was another new purchase, and I'm extremely grateful Denver Doll Emporium had the head in stock after Snowborn was discontinued by the ccompany. Her body is secondhand from a collector on Ebay. I color matched her blushing and did her faceup myself, it was a real labor of love. If any other resin catches my eye, this is absolutely what I'm going to do with them, because the whole reason I went to vinyl was because of its rock solid posing! I have a few other dolls, but they're either in pieces and not in a good state for photographs, or in storage and not in a good state for photographs. I'll share them as they're made presentable again. I hope you enjoy my collection! 😄

I saw TinyResinMinons slowpoke girl and I was struck with the desire to make my own little pokemon themed girl. But I told myself I wouldn't buy more dolls until I go through my box of parts. So I went digging and tried to make everything with stuff I had! She's a parabox Hikari head that had 2 acetone soaks to shrink her head a little. I did everything, but her eyes. I'll be buying her shoes at some point, but for now I made her little felt ones so her feet wouldn't be cold. I've always named my Pokémon after food so I'm trying the Granita for now. It's a kind of iced dessert.

Does anyone know more about this doll? I just learned about it from an unboxing video on YouTube. There is Parabox dolly nudity in the video. Also, has anyone here seen one of the Obitsu Otohime dolls? This lady says she had hers on a stand and the doll's leg got warped. < Please tell me if I'm posting this wrong. And I apologize if I am.

Obitsu-Parabox-Visuadoll-DollyPop (WIP) Doll Discussion Thread
Rneiro posted a topic in General Discussions
I couldn’t find a thread dedicated to the discussion of Obitsu-Parabox-Visuadoll-DollyPop dolls, so I decided to create one myself. I put these doll makers together in this thread due to the similarities of their builds and body shape. For that reason, I may refer to Obitsu base dolls as either Obitsu-Obitsu or base Obitsu dolls. For example, an Obitsu 50-03 head on an Obitsu body (not Parabox) would be considered an Obitsu-Obitsu or base Obitsu doll. The differences between Parabox and Obitsu will be explained in later sections. Caution! There is a HUGE wall of information below with very little pictures! Adding and editing information is my biggest priority right now! There may be grammatical errors below! Again, this is a work in progress! I really enjoy sharing my knowledge (I‘m no expert though), so there is already an entire wall of text below! To clarify, if the doll/head/part is outsourced, sold or manufactured by: — This is the beginning of the Parabox section — 1. Parabox (Obitsu official retailer/wholesaler) -This link will send you to its mobile website. -This link will send you to its desktop website. -This link will send you to its mobile inquiry form. -This link will send you to its desktop inquiry form. -Parabox has their own line of character heads, bodies, clothing (and shoes!), eyes, and wigs. 1/3 Character Heads (I only have my own pictures of Luna D to provide here) 1. Luna (Luna D is my favorite faceup design!) On the left is Suzuka/Succubus-chan, in the middle is Meigana, and on the right is Wilhelmina! My first two girls from the left have AP busts (not pictured), but only Meigana has DollyPop50 body parts (also not pictured). Wilhelmina is an Obitsu 60 and has DollyPop60 parts (including the DP50/60 Plump Thighs) These pictures are mine! They all have the same faceup (D) design, but are not identical as their heads are hand-painted individually. — 40cm-47cm bodies and male 50cm dolls are exclusive to Parabox. All 1/3 bodies are priced at 20,000 yen (without tax) and 22,000 yen (with tax). Only the 48cm and 50cm size dolls sold on ParaboxShop are original Obitsu and come with heads which are listed below. Some of the information listed about Obitsu may be carried over to the separate Obitsu brand section. —— Included with the 48/50 original Obitsu dolls are: a 48/50cm body, a blank Mizuki/50-01 or Misuzu/50-02 and a metal base. —The Mizuki/50-01 head is included with the 50cm body. —The Mizusu/50-02 head is included with the 48cm body. Both heads come pre-installed on 50cm neck joints. Obitsu-made heads such as 50-01, 50-02, 50-03, 50-04, and 50-05 are not sold on Parabox. - Parabox sells 1/3 and 1/6 Custom Basic Sets. Regardless of scale, Parabox Custom Basic Sets include an in-stock wig, eyes of your choice, and painted head, wig and doll body. 1/3 Custom Basic Sets are sold for 30,000 yen. Only Parabox-made 40cm to 47cm bodies (including their 50cm male body) are eligible for Custom Basic Sets. 1/6 Custom Basic Sets are priced from 3,800 yen to 6,800 yen depending on their height and whether or not their heads are mask or hand painted. I’m thinking about buying Ares 2.0 as a custom basic set in the future.. There’s this one example of him that got my attention. *If you do not see a head you like available in the custom basic set character section, then you can contact them to place a special request via inquiry form!* —This is my personal experience of inquiring about the absence of the Luna head in the custom basic set section. One day, I was browsing Parabox out of boredom and decided to check out their custom basic set section in case I ever wanted to purchase one in the future. I noticed Luna wasn’t listed as a 1/3 character available as a custom basic set, so I contacted them through their inquiry form to ask if it why she was absent and if it were possible for her to be added as a custom basic set character. Later, they replied to me saying that they could build one as a special request if I wished to purchase one. In short, it is best to contact the shop directly if you have any questions about their products! You may learn something new in the process! —This is the end of the Parabox section and beginning of the Obitsu section— 2. Obitsu/オビツ (the original company/manufacturer) -This link will send you to its mobile website and this link will send you to its desktop site in English. You will need a proxy to order from here. -The available 1/3 doll skin colors are whitey (white) and superwhitey (bright white or super white). However, Superwhitey seems to be a limited time skin option as it is found in their Limited Product section. — Obitsu dolls are available in 48cm and 50cm***. — I would consider Ellie/Elle a pure Angel Philia doll despite her head sculpt having been created by Obitsu. Unlike a painted base Obitsu 50-04 head, Ellie/Elle’s faceup is designed and painted by Quarantotto. It is a matter of perspective in my opinion. -Super white Obitsu 48/50cm dolls are only available for purchase through their site. Parabox does not sell Super White Obitsu dolls or parts as of the moment. -ParaboxShop sells the Obitsu 48 and 50 dolls. The Obitsu 48 and 50 dolls are not available as custom basic sets. -Obitsu offers something similar to Parabox custom basic sets called Semi-order. There is a disclaimer at the top of the Semi-order page stating that the dolls are made-to-order and will take 3-4 weeks to be produced. —Semi-order [dolls] are fully assembled with eyes, pre-painted heads and selectable bust sizes. Semi-orders do not include a wig with purchase which is what sets them apart from Parabox custom basic sets. —You can choose the eye color and design, bust size and body height (48cm or 50cm). The price of a Semi-order doll with tax is 28,915 JPY. —The heads for Semi-order dolls are 50-03, 50-04, 50-06, and 50-07. Every other head except 50-01**, 50-06, and 50-07 can be purchased blank in super white and white. More details are below.. **50-01 (Mizuki) head can be purchased blank but is not available in super white. This may change in the future! The super white skin color has only been out for less than a year (if I remember correctly). Quarantotto is only beginning to release super white dolls such as Mona and Yuuri along with a few replacement parts! I have also seen new characters being released in the Superwhitey skin color! — Speaking of Quarantotto, Mafuyu’s head sculpt, 50-04, is used by Quarantotto for their Ellie/Elle character series. — The 50-06 (Rosalie) head is not sold blank by itself. 50-06 is only available for purchase in white and in super white as a Semi-order doll! —The 50-07 (Manatsu) head is not sold blank by itself! 50-07 is only available for purchase in white as a Semi-order doll. The notice at the top of her page said she would be available until 12/31/2023! Perhaps that has changed. ***The production of dolls ranging from 55cm to 65cm and their replacement parts have been discontinued by Obitsu and thus by the other brands of Parabox, Azone, Visuadoll and DollyPop (uses Ob60cm parts to create the DP58 body). —This is the end of the Obitsu section and beginning of the DollyPop! section— 3. Visuadoll heads cannot be purchased blank or individually. Newer Visuadolls range from 48cm to 50cm. Older Visuadolls range from 55cm to 65cm in height. Also, Angel Philia/Arcadia/Yamato-Azone-Dollcore has only sold dolls ranging in heights of 48cm to 50cm. — I would consider Ellie/Elle an Angel Philia doll because her faceup is different from the Mafuyu’s painted head on the Obitsu website. It’s a matter of perspective in my opinion. I will find the link to K-2’s history post of these above brands and post it here once I find it. ****Super Sonico is a good example of the Azone-Yamato collaboration. So I'm pretty new to this hobby and just received my first doll, a Parabox Akari head with a 27cm Obitsu body, and was wondering how loose the head should be since I have no experience (I don't want to mess it up, either!). Right now her head is mostly stable and turns right to left without any issue, but is perhaps a little loose in holding up/down facing positions. I'm not sure how to explain it - basically it takes only a light touch for her head to tilt a little downwards again, and those poses aren't held as strong as right/left facing poses. Is this typical for these bodies? I did notice that the neck joint (I think that's what you'd call it) seemed a little wiggly on its own too. Overall it's not a huge issue but something I want to make sure I'm doing right. I screwed the neck piece in for what seemed like quite a while trying to make sure it was tight enough, and made sure the neck was placed snugly up against the base of the head. I selected the largest neck piece included as well, as it was the one that kept her head the most stable when I screwed it in as far as I could. I was also unsure of what the different sizes of neck pieces mean - the ones that go in the head and are screwed in. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

pure neemo Pure Neemo Vitiligo Mod (Running concept ideas)
AshbelEro posted a topic in Doll Character Concepts
So my first vinyl doll, a Pureneemo Emotion with a standard eyehole-less Parabox head in white skin, is on its way to my place. And as I was sketching ideas for her, I thought... well, why make her boring? So I thought about what I could do with her. I really love the Smart Dolls with vitiligo... But they've bothered me for a while, as have most vitiligo dolls. Why do they only ever have a splotch on their face? The Barbie Fashionistas girl is the only one I've seen besides OOAK dolls that have it anywhere else on the body. And also never near the mouth, where I've noticed most people get it pretty prominently. It's always just one over the eye. So I've decided my Neemo deserves better. When I first get her, I'm probably not going to be able to do much, so the left image is a tentative design I'll be giving her while I get better at faces and doll modding. For the vitiligo mod, I'll be masking her body in specific places with tack or masking fluid, while she's assembled, then disassembling her entirely, finishing up the masking so that it's seamless, and then spraying her down with a deep brown vinyl dye. I'll then be using a dilution or acetone to get her palms and the soles of her feet to a proper, accurate color - this has always bothered me about black dolls, too. I haven't decided if I'm simply going to paint her eyes on or modify the head to feature eyeholes and a sculpted mouth. I'd really like her lips to be nice and full. The skin pattern above is just a tentative design and will probably be changed - I'd like it to stay true to the typical patterns you'd see on a real person, even though it's impossible for two to be the same. I was able to find a vinyl dye that will work on both the plastic and vinyl parts of the Pureneemo, so no visible joints should be mismatched with her body color... But if, after some testing, I find that the plastic won't match the color, I may just incorporate all the visible white plastic into her "spots". I also have a pack of extra hands, so hopefully I can get all her extra pieces to match each other. Very excited for my girl, and if she works well, I may start selling dolls like this. edit: I'd like to state for the record that I am neither POC nor do I suffer from vitiligo and this is not me attempting to be woke. I just think it'd be cool to do. If you believe I shouldn't be making a POC doll if I'm not POC, well... Noted. But I can't change myself any more than you guys can. -

Hello everyone, I'm Al and I'm quite new at keeping dolls. I got my first doll recently - An obitsu body with a parabox Chara head. She's very small and I love her very much. I painted the face myself and it was so much fun! I'd love to do it again soon! I'm looking for some anime-styled eyes that fit my chara head, but no luck so far :( I'm also looking for some clothes, but i'm very anxious about something i get not fitting. Other than that, I love dollfie dreams! They're out of my budget for right now, but I definitely want some in the future. I'm super new at everything, so please correct me if I say something incorrect! I love to learn the in and outs of things!!!! This turned out kinda ramble-y but it's nice to meet everyone!

I've owned a Kagamine Len DDS for a few years now but I found myself wanting a younger boy body, so I decided to order a 45cm boy body from Parabox with a Hime Ane head. I fell in love with the gentle look of the face. Parabox originally sent me a female body by mistake however they responded quickly to my emails and sent me new parts to make a boy for free (and with EMS shipping!). The body has a different feel than DD bodies. The vinyl feels a bit rougher, and the joints are more visible than a DD's. The head is flatter than a DD head as well, he definitely looks best from the front. You can definitely tell the doll is cheaper but still I would say the overall quality is very good. One advantage he has over DD is that he's a little more flexible with poses, the magnetic feet are great for keeping him in standing poses long-term as well. I do also like that the eyes snap into the head, it's easier to keep them in place. Here are some direct comparisons between the bodies. The Obitsu body is paler and has less definition than the DD. I do like the more subtle definition on the Obitsu, it suits the young and cute look. Len and the currently unnamed Obitsu make a cute pair I'd say. While I currently don't have any clothes specifically for him, he doesn't look half-bad in Len's Senbonzakura outfit. I'd like to get more into the DIY aspect of dolls so I'm currently in the process of making him a Laphicet outfit from Tales of Berseria.
