    The Elusive Male Doll

What's Up With Male Dolls? inspired this disaster. I was going to properly contribute, but three tries and one freak power outage later, somehow ended up with this instead. Vaguely based on the premise, 'What if the male dolls aren't being held back by business? What if they're choosing to not be found?' We have some edgier humor here, but hopefully my prodding at fandom things doesn't offend. This isn't a serious bit at all. (Continued in next post)

    Hand-assembled Cortex Mirai

Hii BJD collectors! As you can realize in my account, my 1st doll was a Cortex Mirai Suenaga, at this time we could afford completely unassembled Cortex dolls and I wanted to assemble her with my dad's help, her clothing is an kit I chosed that was specially for Mirai, and I'll show very few photos since my phone is on Apple Care service in another city, so I only can use PC..but let's go to the infos. This is a Hand-assembled SMD. (She was sanded in all the glued places so most of them look like they r made of vinyl) She has poor differences next to a regular Vinyl doll, but her body complex needs to be delicately cared of, the material of Cortex is a bunch harder than vinyl plastic in usual, EVERY single piece of her outside is cortex. Also, a lot of people talk about her arm cracks that happends with a lot of people who likes posing their cortex SMDS, and is true, it actually happends a lot, is a lil hard to be careful with these details, even tho we used a VERY hard glue, and also sanded the glue marks very well, it still cracks. You can realize in the side, it has an wound in there, poor Mirai was posed to much since 2019 💔 The cortex material is hard to lead with, but I can say a lot since in 2019 I was 9 years old and she looks completely fine (nevertheless, in 2020 my lil cousin removed her poor feets out and took her eyes out,she is fine) If you see her waist you can see how me and my engineer dad are experts on doll gluing, because we sanded her waist so much you can't even see in my exploding PC camera. Here we got a cortex head, that is separated on the half of the head, not on the top, Is SOOO much easier to fit the eyes without falling them off (I personally like using ethylene Vinyl Acetate Dough) Next cortex effect is that, CARE ABOUT YOUR NAILS. DO NOT let your doll get exposed to extreme pointy stuff or strong nails, that gives her marks of rips. You can realize she got a lil harm in her cute face :c Having a cortex doll is simple. Have a safe support to make her stand, be careful touching her skin and choose protections to her body, use fabric protections in her body and keep her far away from kids. Thank you for reading that!I hope I helped in keeping anybody's Cortex Smart Doll! 😄
  3. Deciding to give my Smart Doll specific photos a place to live. I do have an existing photo thread of my DD girls also if you want to check them out Anyway, back to the Smart Dolls. Here's my OG Smart Doll girl is Sana She is in the tea skin tone and has her original eyes and wig. I like both on her so I never bothered to change her up. Thanks for looking

    Cirque Du Nefarious

Welcome to my project thread*! *Aka, 'Nefarious Procrastinates in Slow Motion'. "My name is Nefarious, and I'm a vinyl addict..." ...A vinyl addict who keeps telling myself, "I need to make art of each doll before posting this thread." But that's never going to get done. Who are we kidding? A quick bit of background: I became aware of the BJD / Dollfie hobby in 2009, and purchased my first full doll in 2012, starting a collective that is still going. After owning some Dollfie heads for a span, I finally bought two Angelphilia girls in 2019, sold them, then properly re-entered vinyl in 2021- 22 with a Smart Doll. Vinyl is my side-hobby, and one I curate carefully, but am passionate about nonetheless. I enjoy high fantasy, sci-fi, steam and cyberpunk, oldschool suspense / light horror, gothic fashion and the gothic story genre, street fashion, Alice in Wonderland, all fun things 80s and 90s, Victorian and Roccoco motifs, 90s and Y2K cartoons, and MMORPGs, and these interests will be reflected in my dolls. Rather than 'my collection', the group is generally referred to as 'The Elves' or 'The Hoard'. Consider this a kind of journal. Each initial post should contain a brief explanation of a doll- who they are, what their parts entail, and what needs to be done for them yet. Hopefully it shall one day contain some updates as well. Cross your fingers?

    Smartdoll Starlight Cinnamon Photos

My newest doll arrived a few days ago. I turned 40 on May 22nd and wanted a new doll to mark a big birthday. Starlight was on the soon to be discontinued or low stock list so I grabbed her and she arrived on May 21st, just in time to celebrate my birthday with me.
