This is less a gripe and more a bewildered call for help - My Dollfie Dream's legs decided to first come loose, and then just smoothly detached. As far as I can tell nothing is broken? I just can't get the legs back in?? Help?? Anybody have any tips for getting her properly reassembled?? I can take photos if that would be helpful.

currently I'm working on the wig of my kagamine Rin dollfie, i want to get it clean and loose before i start styling it into what it's supposed to look like. I've got the shampoo & rinse bottle ready to go, i forgot what they do but i also have treatment, mist, and oil spray.

I finally got my first DD! She's Sakura Miku 2.0 I got second hand. Also thanks everyone who replied to my last post, I did a quick clean with an alcohol wipe and all was fine. I just didn't go over her face out of fear it would smudge off. Biggest problem now is her head doesn't stay in place. I took her head off to check if there's damage to the neck hole but it looks fine. It's the actual peg that's very wobbly, and whenever I try to reposition Miku's head, it just falls backwards because the wig is so heavy ^^; Can I fix this? Thanks

What the title says... It's driving me up the wall! I adore how her legs look, but when I try and move her legs even just to have her sit, they pop off! I REALLY struggle to get them back in place, and would like to be able to pose her sitting without this issue, but I don't know what to do to fix it... (I only had them set on the darkly colored desk mat for a second, don't worry)! Edit: Her arms also struggle a bit to hold poses, but I feel like that just means she needs some skeleton tightening. I don't know how to do that myself, so I'm planning to ask staff whenever I make it to Doll Point.

Hello! My girl got some new outfits! The black dress has a white liner, but I still put her body cover on just to be safe. These pastel pajamas though... I took her body protection off since it looks nicer (especially when the jacket is off), and it seems like a very safe fabric. ... I still get nervous though! Do y'all think this outfit will be okay without protection?

Hello everyone! I'm planning on buying my first ever DD soon but unfortunately I have contamination OCD so I will have to give her a good sanitizing. I'm scared of ruining the doll if I use alcohol wipes, what do you guys recommend? Would anti-bacterial baby wipes be okay? As for clothes, do I have to worry about bleeding even if I hand wash? Thank you!

Hi! I'm planning to take my girl out for her first day out soon, and want to get good photos! While I'm looking for all general advice about taking her out for photos, I was also specifically wondering if I should be trying to cram her stand into my bag? Or do I not need my stand to take good photos while we're out?

Wow, my second post already! :3 I want to bring my doll out for photos (and Dolpa eventually, sadly I don't think I'll be able to make it next month), but don't know how best to carry her... Logically I know I should get a Volks carrying case, but there are basically none on Mercari and they're like ¥7500 new which is a lot! I also wanted to get a clear bag to display her in for events, but those are even more expensive at ¥9800, and I worry about sun damage...! So, TLDR I want your advice on transporting a doll safely, and your experience with carrying bags and cases!

Hello! I recently got my first Dollfie after years and years of wanting a BJD of my own! She isn't the custom I had been planning, but a doll someone else had made custom at Doll Point and left at a secondhand store. I just felt so bad for her, I knew she had to come home with me! Anyways, I've been having lots of issues truthfully (I didn't expect the learning curve to end up being so steep, but I'm determined to learn)! And one of the biggest is SHOES. She's the version 1 mochi ashi model, so her feet are big! I want to get her smaller feet to fit into smaller shoes eventually, but the Volks site is sold out right now. I'm planning to order shoes made for a slightly bigger Dollfie soon and see if those work. The ones I already did order (which were marked as just 1/4 scale iirc and not branded) didn't fit at all though, even though I thought the measurements lined up :c. Anyways! All this rambling to say I need advice on how to find shoes that will fit this girl! (I realized this might have been better suited for the questions thread, my apologies! I'm still trying to figure out the layout of this website)!

My third post already! I'm sorry if I'm posting too much, I'm just very excited to get to actually discuss things with the community! So! I was hoping to get y'all's photography advice! So far I've figured out just how important lighting is (though I haven't quite perfected actually getting that right quite yet). I would love to hear what tips and tricks you guys know, though! Big or small, any little tidbits help! I've also struggled a bit with posing, if you have any advice there!

AAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! My VERY FIRST bjd is arriving this Wednesday and I'm freaking out! I didn't want to deal with exspensive vinyl dolls or resin because even the thought of staining one of those scares me, so i got a plastic Proudoll instead. Plus, I'm a dark-skinnned girly and wanted a tan doll.(after reading those Danny Choo rants, I think I'll pass on Smartdoll). That doesn't mean I won't care for my doll though. I made a list of everything I'm going to buy. 5 silicone wigcaps(with these lil velcro grip things on them;btw they came in a pack) from amazon A VOLKS USA wig 9-10"* A stand from amazon a wig from etsy 8-9 a ton of clothes some eyes from amazon some eye putty from VOLKS a stain protection turtleneck thingy from etsy and the doll *I know the doll isn't 9-10, but I wanted the wig and it only came in that size, so I decided to layer wigcaps to add a few inches(something like that) is it reccomended? I haven't ordered the wig yet because I want to be sure. PLEASE HELP -

I need help or advice 😔 I have a Shin Sato dollfie dream. She has two pigtails that are each attached on top of a weft of hair by an elastic and I believe it was sewn in. One of her pigtails completely slipped off and separated and I have been trying to get the weft small enough to fit back into the pigtail to no avail. I understand this may not be a common issue. Are there any tricks to fixing this out there? If not, is there someone/somewhere I can send it to fix it?

so i found a doll on ebay and its not named nor in her orignal outfit hears the info i have also i tought she was Mamachapp Toys 60Cm Doll but there paint is difrent 60HD-F04W "displeased" head sculpt factory paint the seller thinks the orignal doll was in a brown dress and rose but not confermed shes 60cm This is what the BJD looks like from the rear." Hotaru/Sailor Saturn is on of my favorite Sailor Moon characters. I'd love to make a 1/6 Obitsu version of her. My spatial skills aren't great, so I was wondering if anybody would go to this link https://paraboxshop.jp/index_en_jpy_133.html at 1/6 heads and tell me which one they think would work best. Hotaru has a rather plaintive little face, so I was thinking heads Aki and Kay might work. Anybody know where I could find a good wig? I'm having trouble with that too.

URGANT QUESTION I am considering on switching from Tinyfox Murphy to Tinyfox Kakav, which has a lot of dark clothing, and i cannot find any shops that have the Tinyfox bodysuit for sale, so how am i meant to deal with the stains?? OR, WHERE THE HECK CAN I FIND THE BODYSUIT OR AN ALTERNATIVE!! PLEASE HELP!!

Hi! I'm new to this community and I'm a DD noob. (T_T) I was wondering if I could get some help identifying which DD option head looks the most similar to the head I have attached to the Imgur link below. In my opinion I was looking at DDH-07 or DDH-6 in semi-white! I love her faceup and look, the serene and calm look is what I'm aiming for. I will not copy the artist's work, I was just using it for a reference! I'm going to Japan soon and I may want to grab some DD parts while I'm there. :') If anyone could help me that would be so amazing<3 Thank you!! Pictures! (Imgur link!)

My doll is gonna be a tan konatsu! I saw something about stuffing their middle with polyfill? Why is that? 🤔

I have a couple questions in regards to dolls aaand.. drawing?? alright i'll get to it in a minute lol. My first question is kind of simple.. If the doll you are getting has a name already.. is it ok to rename them? I figure you could.. cause it would be kinda odd to have a restriction on renaming your dolls lol.. buuut just asking for the lolz.. The second question.. is.. If the drawings are related to dolls in question.. is it ok to post them here?? Cause I occasionally draw dolls i like, especially the one im currently after, having sketched her several times.. Since im uncertain on if i can post said drawings here, i thought to ask. THe final question i wanna ask is simple.. What sizes for body suits and wig caps are best for 1/6 Tinyfox dolls? I just wanna be sure.. ;w; Oh and tiny updates on me. Found out that the original site the doll im after is on is actually cheaper.. and that there is not exactly an extreme time limit.. if there is one.. its around 9 months.. aaand given this baby has been announced 4 weeks ago.. i think i got a bit of time.. Aaand i started my commissions!

EYO, so here is some updates on my doll stuffies, so i discovered another doll, fully complete for only $170.. so now thats my goal.. due to her being on preorder, my idea is to finally start my art commissions up, Just gonna work on one last drawing before i do so, which actually will be posted to the site cause it is related to the doll i desire. And hey, as a plus, if things go well.. what a beautiful way to finally be truly a part of this community than to get the doll on your own. SO my goal is now set, a $170 doll, which is fully completed and possibly even includes a lil pillow. Brand: Tinyfox. A sacrifice in her height is a small price to pay for something like this finally coming true. I only have one last thing to ask of yall... Along side any extra advice to caring for a now Tinyfox doll, do you also have any good Eye putties or Doll stands to consider? As i am unfamilar especially with the putties for the eyes, as to what is going to go fine and what will damage her.. thus, i am asking for a little more advice on this before i finally begin my journey. Last note: The doll was from DollBjd. -

Holy heck I'm on this site again, anyways, I am a teenage artist on social media who became very much in love with Mini Dollfie Dream Dolls, and want to join in on having my own Mini Dollfie Dream, however i am kind of just trying to figure out a good way to save money on said doll (For my parents wallet and sanity lol) (I need to start my commissions but I'm a coward) So, theres one thing thats prob not gonna end up changing, the price for the head and body.. The head varies with the price cause of detail, materials used ect.. so im planning to just get a base head and paint my own head (Plus to be a lil more like the Dollfie photographer i admire greatly) and body.. well.. is straight up the most expensive piece lol However.. what are some ways i could save money on say.. materials for painting the face and head, outfits, wigs, ect. ect. Again, im mainly asking not just for me, but for my parents too since at this time.. I don't make money (Again should start commissions to hecking help) Any extra tips on Mini Dollfie dreams in general is very much appreciated cause although i know a little on MDD, I don't really know much at all on care and such.. (Closest thing i got is a flipping Monster High Draculaura doll lol) But yeah, ANYTHING to help with saving money on this soon to be new hobby would be great, yes, you can also link people or sellers that are good for a budget as well.. This is not just for the wallet.. but also for my parents sanity too lol. Please don't say anything on needing to have good money to have such hobby.. I just really like the dolls, they are precious and gorgeous, and want to have my own lil one too. ^w^' -
Hello! I'm new to this but I am looking to make a doll custom for Don Quixote and Ishmael from Limbus Company. I'd like to use the same base as this doll in the picture and I'm pretty sure its an obitsu type but I'm not positive as to which one it is... links would be very much appreciated! Also, to be specific I am looking for the model names of the type of head, and body base also if I can get some help on what type of eyes, hair and clothes are being used so I can search up the kind I need. My Len's wig was looking a tad rough, so I wanted to try and fix it up just a bit. I took out the rubber band on the wig to try redoing it, but couldn't seem to get it right. Kept ending up looking about the same, just with less stray hair strands poking out. The ponytail always just ends up curling heavily to the left, right or even under itself. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to get his wig looking more like the official images? How would I go about making the ponytail more centered, so it doesn't heavily lean to one side of his head? I'd be happy with most any wig styling tips to be honest, I'm just having a difficult time with that ponytail. I've fixed/redone my Miku's wigs quite a few times, but this one has been so much harder. Did I make a mistake by even removing the band at all? 😓 I have a feeling I should probably get some kinda hairspray or gel, but wanted to ask around here first to see what anyone might suggest. Don't think I've unlocked the picture uploading feature here yet, so I hope I'm getting things across well with just my words. Thanks in advance for any help!

(This is the finished version of another topic) Hey everyone, so i have a question and i hope you guys that own a Mini Dollfie Dream can help me. So i plan to get a Mini Dollfie Dream doll, i have dreamed of owning one since January 2022 and im gonna slowly try to get the doll piece by piece. I could not use the "Insert Image from URL" do to not knowing how to do it all.. so go to the link below for the photos. Photos of Box So i got this box, its an Oculus box that my mother gave me, its 16.3/8" in Inches, i plan to use it for the doll, although i may turn it into sort of a bed lol. I plan to get a MDD body with small bust with a DDH-27 head (So i dont need to sand off lips) My question is simple.. will the doll fit in the box or will it be too big.. and show how much larger the doll will be to the box if it is too big for the box. Any help and information to help will be appreciated greatly! ^w^'
