Aya is Aoi's twin sister. I'm leaning torwards giving her Aoi's original eyes, and possibly Aoi's original wig. I'll play around with different looks though, once I do her face-up.

 

Aoi and Aya haven't seen each other in a few years, although they have kept in contact through email. Aya has been in California, trying to make it as a model and actor, but according to Aoi, had a falling out with the director of the Gobots movie... So now she's moving in with Aoi.

 

Well, this is what I'm thinking so far... I might come up with something else.

I really like this concept. I love twins! I can't wait to see them together.

A Gobots movie?? Oh wow, that would so totally........ suck.

 

I'M KIDDING!

 

I also love the idea of twins. Seeing Aoi and Aya together should be lots of fun. I just hope they don't gang up on your other girls!

Baldylox, you might find it interesting that Hasbro bought Tonka, the US manufacturer of GoBots, back in the '90s. Actually, the basic GoBots were pretty cool toys, although Transformers toys were better over-all.

 

I'm looking forward to getting a DDdy, hoping I can order on Friday.

I knew about the Hasbro buyout. Since I collected *some* newer Star Wars stuff, people I knew would tell me stuff like that. They haven't done much with the brand name tho. I wonder why as I agree with you that the basic toys were kind of cool in a way. I had a few as a kid but not too many. I think I had Leader 1, Cy-Kill, a tank and that dark green Jeep. Maybe a UFO that was gray too.

 

Ah nice! A DDdy will be great to add to your family! I am glad they are becoming more popular with people. Finding clothes for them used to be a pain but now it's getting much easier.

I had the dark green jeep GoBot too! Jeeper Creeper was his name, I had him in mind, along with the A-10 plane (Bad Boy, I think...) when I said Gobot had some cool figures. Your recent Yoko pics made me want a DDdy even more... I've got quite a few outfits that will fit DDdy, Volks has gotten quite good at making outfits that fit all or most sizes. And of course there's Nightfall's wonderful collection!

Jeeper Creeper! Ha ha! As soon as I rtead it I knew that was him. Too funny to hear that name again.

 

I am SO glad I kept my Jetfire! He is my fave ever.... so heavy and cool. I still found it odd they called him Skyfire in the cartoon and Jetfire on the toy.

Why thank you! I am glad she has inspired you! Since Manami was my first girl and she was a DDdy, I naturally gravitate towards the DDdy girls. Plus they have the anime look I love. That's great that you already have outfits she can wear! Nothing extra to buy at the beginning!

 

And as for clothing, Volks has been doing very well lately but Jessica is a great source too. She was actually the first person I got clothing from for Manami. And I still love those outfits too.

Ah, Jetfire/Skyfire... I think Harmony Gold is mostly to blame for that mess, they brought Macross over as Robotech around the same time... Probably better the way it turned out, the world would've imploded from the awesomeness of the VF-1 Valkyrie being in two seperate shows at the same time.

The set fits decently on the L-bust. Volks had Kanu modeling it for the promo shots...

That swimsuit set is so cute! I love blue. Kanu's sunlight skin looks nice in blue.

I should try and get a hold of some Asuka outfits for Natsuki to cosplay! Eva was the first real anime TV series I watched, and ADV's Eva VHS cassette vol. 4 was the first anime I bought. Which, of course, included the first appearence of Asuka.

That's funny how things work out! All the Eva stuff you watched and the tape you have, that's pretty neat. My first real anime was Akira and right after was the Street Fighter anime movie. After those I was hooked.

Excellent! That's great news! I am guessing you mean you got the standard DDdy bust version and not a Shapely Bust. I like the regular one a lot but the shapely one looks so good in certain type clothing... those "eyes" are just like BAM! Front and center! Which I must say I like...

Thanks, both of you. I'm pretty excited! It's a nice bit of good news. It should be alot of fun working on Aya.

 

Yep, I bought the standard DDdy, not the 2010 shapely bust version. I might still get the shapely version (or just the extra bust), since I have the painted DDH-01 on the way.

Funny story on the shapely bust for the DDdy...

 

When I bought Yoko in Japan, she had stains on her chest that I was not sure were going to come out. So when I hit another Volks store, I picked up the Shapely Bust to use as a replacement if the stains didn't come out.

 

Luckily the stains did come off and I was left with an extra bust. This led to me putting it on Manami.

 

After she got it on, the difference was pretty big. I really liked how she looked in certain clothes and it just made her especially cute. So she has now kept the Shapely bust on since then. And now that Mai has joined the family, I have one of each type bust for the DDdy.... Yoko's Natural bust, Mai's regular bust and Manami's shapely bust.

You're lucky to have all three DDdy bust types. I had all the DD2 types, but then they had to go and release the shapely L bust. I kind of want to get a DD with each bust or body type, since I know I'll never have each and every DD.

Yosemune (Shapely bust) infects the DDII standard base body too! It is different from the DDdy Shapely bust. It still looks like the DDII L-bust but squished together to generate cleavage. I am sure we will see more of it, and it will be released someday as an optional part.

Yosemune (Shapely bust) infects the DDII standard base body too! It is different from the DDdy Shapely bust. It still looks like the DDII L-bust but squished together to generate cleavage. I am sure we will see more of it, and it will be released someday as an optional part.

 

I wouldn't mind having one of these one day but it's not anything I am in a rush for. If they make it an optional part then I'd be all over it. Then I could swap it out on Miyuki and see what she thinks. But that's for later.

Now look here you! I don't *NEED* any more daughters! But that's not to say I *won't* get anymore....

 

I do want an 03 head tho. I think that would be nice for my DDI body. As for the 01 on the DDS, that *is* another option for me but that probably won't happen for quite a while. We'll have to see what Volks does with the DDS first before I can do something on that front.
