Oh, that's interesting! So since this is an earlier number than the DWC 01, it seems that the head may have been sculpted with a mouth first, and then it was removed after. It also implies that Volks intended to release the head with a mouth to begin with.

Is there information on the sizes of the numbered (as in DDH 1-27) heads? It's a bit hard to tell until the heads are side by side.

I was initially under the impression that they were roughly around the "9-inch" wig size but then learned (via this topic) that some are significantly smaller, going down to the 8-inch tier.

One thing interesting to see is how much inflation has gone up with these doll - the price already doubled from 15-20 years ago 😱
