      I did not, in fact, stop there     I would dare say her shoes are mummified, and I am absolutely not touching them for now. But the tiny, tiny high heel soles underneath are extremely funny. I could try to flake off the pleather and see if I can't directly paint the pleather with shoe paint, but I almost feel like I'd rather just remake the shoes somehow. I'd call it a project for later but I know that's probably years from now.    These pics are actually from last year and she's since been sitting on a shelf in my bookcase behind some glass, just chilling. Pleather is my eternal nemesis!

      AFAIK, the faceup on Black Raven dolls doesn't use decals, it's entirely painted on including the eyes. I washed one of my Black Raven dolls' hair with detergent and warm water after protecting her face with some cling film and the heat did not affect her faceup.
