★ DD Manicure ★ Update pg.5

The batch of hands arrived today (I wasn't expecting them so quickly!) so hopefully I'll be able to work on them and start listing them soon if all goes well I've also been working on a few other pairs this last week that I'll take pictures of soon as potential styles ^__^

 

So many~!

I began working on the first pair from the batch of 10 today! I wanted to do quite a long manicure style so i could use the adorable bows! (they're one of the larger bows i have so they look best on long nails)

If all goes well i'll be listing these for sale at a later date

 

Your work definitely looks good. I really want some hands from you once you're happy to start taking commissions and selling!

I've started making preparations for the sale/advertising of the nails for when I make a shop, so hopefully after the testing that innocentsake has kindly offered I will be able to open! By that point I should have quite a few hands premade

 

I've decided on "The Little Nail Boutique" as a name ≧◡≦ I wanted a name so that it's easily recognizable and also because i have been contemplating opening an etsy shop for them. What would be everyone's preference? An etsy catalog for easy availability checking and shopping cart purchase or a sale thread on this forum? (Or both?)

I know what you mean, I haven't been able to review anything on etsy since the new layout but I think I'll make one on both and see how it goes. I suppose I can always close etsy if it turns out badly ^__^

I've made another set and am working on the third set now. I can't wait to take pictures of them (hopefully tomorrow) to show you and eventually make my shop! My Mariko still hasn't arrived so I'm making nails for the shop impatiently waiting before I can do hers for me to keep

I love the name you picked out for your shop! It's super cute and fits perfectly I believe it's good to have a sales thread here along with making an Etsy shop. Those who are more comfortable making purchases here can do so and then if you have an Etsy shop not only can those who know you here follow, but you'll have others who aren't part of the DD forum finding you there as well I do hate that Etsy doesn't allow sellers to leave feedback to their buyers. I believe it's equally important for sellers to know who they are dealing with as well as it being the other way around. But to get back on topic~

That's a good point, I will probably set a shop up on etsy too, thanks for the input I think it's good to give people the option of shopping cart purchase, plus it'll be good for those looking for immediate knowledge of what sets are available.

Aw I can't wait for Mariko to arrive~ The tracking hasn't updated in over a week so i'm getting a little impatient not even knowing where she is but i'm sure she'll get here soon.

Yay! I'm glad you're excited I'm about half way through Innocentsake's nails so I should be able to ship them back soon (hopefully this week!) for her review. After that I'll be opening my shop, so anyone interested keep an eye on this thread for updates in the next few weeks ^__~

Any updates on how this store/commission stuff is going? I really want some sets of hands. I hope you're stocking up on different hands to be able to sell completed sets, too. Though I do have some spare stuff I guess I could send, but I'd much rather just buy complete hands from you. ;.;

Aww i'm glad you're looking forward to it ^__^ I am definitely stocking up, so far i've premade 4 sets that are ready for sale and have another 6 sets ready for me to manicure to put up for sale (both in NS and WS). I'm shipping Innocentsake's hands back to her this week so she can review them (she will let me know how they handle shipping, if she thinks they are good) and then i'll be ready to list the hands for sale!

I would love to upload them now but i'd hate for people to get them and be unsatisfied so she has kindly offered to test them for me. I want to be sure they are quality not just to me but to others that will use them ^__~ As soon as she gets them I will be listing my premade manicured hands in my etsy store.

I'll post an update on this thread as soon as my shop is open I'll also happily take commissions for those that request but then the cost of shipping the hands to me and then back to you would have to be covered. I've just handed in all of my final assessments for the year for my Uni degree so I will have loads of extra time to finish up the rest of the hands and will update here with pics soon

Just an update, Innocentsake's hands have been shipped back to her so now it's just a matter of waiting for them to arrive !! My shop will then be open and I will list the hands I have premade (so far I have 7 sets done, I'm hoping to do 3 more before opening) ^__^

Exciting news, Innocentsake's hands arrived safe and sound today! Hopefully the shop is not long off now I've just got a few more pictures to take and gloss to add to some sets. I'll update here again when the shop is open, and I believe Innocentsake will be posting a review of the hands some time this week or weekend

 

Edit: I've finished all of the hand manicures for premade sale and taken all the photos, so the shop should be up and running tonight or tomorrow! Ill also be opening custom orders at the same time (an option to ship your own hands to me, or an option to get a custom from my next batch of volks hands order)

Congrats on getting the shop up & running! Tsukiko will be wearing her manicured hands to the San Diego BJD con this Saturday so I'll be sure to mention your shop if anyone asks about who did her nails
