First DDH-01 mod commission work

I have started working on this commission about a month ago.

Thankfully the owner was the most patient person i have ever dealt with and the girl is now ready to go to her new home

It was a very rewarding and stressful journey.

 

It was a closed eye type DDH01 head. It needed eyehole opening, widening and mouth sanding.

I had to use sculpey to make up for lost volume inside of the eyes.

Baking the head was a bit daunting but we all know it's safe to do so (but smelly!)

 

After first face up I have sealed the head, but since the weather is cold and humid, the sealant went all wrong :/ After many unsuccesful attempts of trying to save it,

I had to redo the face up and re-seal it again at optimal drying humidity and temperature which i had to work out..

 

And here she is I am very pleased how cute she turned out!

 

She's sooooo cute! Your hard work paid off because that girl is just super adorable! Congrats on a job well done! It still amazes me how so many people use the 01 head to do mods and all of them turn out looking totally different from each other!

Ahh! There is my lovely girl . Freya, you have done such an amazing job, and I can not wait for her to arrive! I'll make sure to take lots of pictures of her, and show her off a ton. It's amazing, I received that blank head with the closed eyes and I remember thinking how tough it must be to paint the head and resize the eyes...it's so awesome to be able to see the finished work compared to the blank one I sent you!
