Dollcore Real Art Project. New doll company? (nsfw)

Recommended Posts

AlienTentacle

I came across these dolls on figure fm at a doll show/convention. I was able to find their website, but not really how to buy them. Has anyone heard of them? I have searched images, and they look pretty awesome. I mainly want to buy one of the heads ^^'

Im an ecchi artist, so finding these dolls was pretty cool. Other then the evoke doll Im buying and a DD, this fits into what I want. So be careful looking them up. '

Everyone has been very helpful on here I might add Thank you very much ^^

I searched "Dollcore Real Art Project"

The Dollcore line from Real Art Projects, for those of us that don't read Japanese, another enigma of the Yamato/VMF50/Angel Philia world. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but there is some sort of relationship between RAP and Angel Philia (which was Yamato's VMF50 line). The RAP dolls use a lot of the same parts as the AP dolls. All these dolls are manufactured by the Obitsu Plastic Manufacturing Company and are based on the Obitsu's 48cm and 50cm bodies. They use Obitsu's stock 48 and 50cm internal skeletons and has Obitsu manufacture custom vinyl skins and heads for their dolls. Real Art Projects "produces" about 3-6 dolls a year. Generally they will announce an upcoming release to their Dollcore Entry Girl or Pink Drops lines, have an open order period, then fill those orders after the dolls are manufactured (1-3 months). RAP does not sell separate parts (heads, busts, etc.) so you would have to purchase an entire doll. Past RAP and AP dolls can frequently be found on Yahoo Japan Auctions.

Here's the link to the RAP web store page. They are currently (Feb 2015) taking orders for Pink Drops #11, Sayaka.

Angel Philia has a new home page (and owner?), Quarantotto.

As previously stated by Auuya, more information on the RAP/AP/VMF50 dolls can be found in the VMF50 & Angel Philia Discussion thread of this forum.

If I recall correctly they don't take orders from outside of Japan (someone please feel free to correct me) so you would need to use a shopping service in order to acquire the doll. ^^;;

ah how do I do that?

Via whatever shopping service you choose to use. Plenty of people can come up with a variety of names. I use: http://www.japonicamarket.com/

You could easily google "japanese shopping service" too. :P

Most are easy--just ask whatever questions you need to. They'll usually ask you questions on any specific details, which is pretty nice. I would have recommended Yokatta which are super straightforward but they aren't taking orders right now.

Yes, you need a proxy buyer as they (like many small Japanese companies and auction sellers) do not ship internationally.

I use Japan Auction Center to bid on Yahoo Japan Auctions and buy from Japanese stores. I've purchased items from RAP through Japan Auction Centers before. Here's a link to their tutorial:

http://www.jauce.com/faq/?View=entry&EntryID=112

After you sign up for your free account, the shopping process goes like this:

You click on the "SHOPPING" header on the left.

On the SHOP DIRECTORY page select the store you wish to purchase from (RAP is listed under the TOYS heading).

Clicking on the RAP heading in TOYS will open a new window.

In that window go to the item you want to buy.

Once you're on the specific item's page, copy the page address from the top of your browser.

Back in the original Japan Auction Center window, go back to the SHOP DIRECTORY.

On the SHOP DIRECTORY page, paste the address you copied into the space below "Detail page url".

Write a brief description of the item in the space to the right of the address.

When you're done shopping, click on the "Ask a Quote" button at the bottom.

Within about 24 hours (usually) JAC will email you with a quote of how much the item will cost. This will include their shopping fee.

Go back to the JAC site and click on the "Shopping Cart" heading under the "SHOPPING" header on the left.

You should find your quote on the next page.

Then just follow the instructions.

You will have to make a deposit for the item total through PayPal. You will also have to pay for local shipping (from the store to JAC) and international shipping (from JAC to your house) so you should deposit a bit more than just the item total to avoid paying a second deposit fee.

Once you make the deposit, JAC will place an order (or buy) for the item.

The story ships the item to JAC and then they ship to you.

It does sound complicated at first but it's actually pretty easy.

There are fees involved in proxy buying, but they are not anywhere near as high as the cost of purchasing the doll on the secondary market (auction sellers).
