sklurk Posted April 21, 2015 The wig needs more work, but it's already gone through an afternoon of styling with hot water to remove the wavyness, and had some blue strips sewn in. Wonder how Felicia feels having dear old mom here. After the wig is settled, it'll be on to sewing her outfits. I've scoured and scoured, I can't find anything suitable to buy, so I will have to scratch make both her outfits. Jenn's base is a DD3 normal skin, I haven't decided if I want to keep the L bust on her or go back to her M. She's an ddh-09 painted by niya mia. Her current eyes are MMdrop eyes and have some metallic/shine to them. I have a few other sets I'll be playing around with as well. I have a couple more purple wigs coming that I'll be attempting to mod as this one was purchased in person at dollce and I can't get another one if I completely mess it up, so therefore this wig I will add a few more wefts to in order to make it closer to what I want and then cut the length to what I want, but I'm hesitant to outright cut wefts off and replace them or move them around. Right now the crown is on the wrong side vs where I want to part it, so this is causing some pretty bad bald spots when I start combing it. Also her bangs are too short for what I want to do so I'm hoping one of the other wigs I have coming will work better.
Lala Lolita Posted April 23, 2015 I love this concept. Good luck! @blushingbjd
sklurk Posted December 7, 2015 making tweaks to the wig... unfortunately the crown is on the wrong side so I'm pulling hair away from the natural flow and exposing the wig cap and some of the faults of the wig. This is why I'm still looking for a custom wig. This wig will probably only ever be about 70% of what I want even after I add wefts to try and cover the thin spots. I also shortened the wig by about 5 inches, it had a gradient from purple to blue so I snipped the blue ends off.
Manoogany Posted December 15, 2015 I think she is turning out amazing! I love her concept! Have you considered getting a custom alpaca wig or a mo-haired one? There are amazing sellers on etsy who will do a fantastic job making you a custom wig! :
sklurk Posted December 18, 2015 I had a mohair wig for felicia to try at some point but I didn't like the texture of it. The high temp fiber just feels so nice when it's brushed I found a couple wig makers in china and I've made an order, so we'll see how that experiment turns out.
