These closed eyes were so well painted it looks tridimensional! It is really difficult to achieve this. A lot of dolls with painted eyes looks so plain... even the ones that are licensed characters...

Few ones are c00l!

You know, the DDCH-A head doesn't look that bat. Has a nice, long nose and smiling lips.

Maybe if one could cut and sand to shape the eyeholes, it could look similar to Sirius/Yumi.

Thank you for posting these, mitsuki!! I was just wondering if anyone preferred the closed eye heads to the open eye heads. I have a favorite faceup artist who likes to do faceups in the anime style, I wonder if I could get her to paint a head with closed eyes for me?

 

The closed painted eyes seem more prominent and vibrant than some of the set-in eyes. Plus I like being able to see a good amount of the white of the eye in my dolls, and I like it to be really white for contrast in photos.
