valleygg Posted December 6, 2015 So i purchased a body, but the internal skeleton on one if the shoulders is broken, so her arm hangs out of its socket a bit. Any ideas on how to fix her?
baldylox Posted December 6, 2015 That's happened quite a bit so there's ways to fix it as long as you have the broken piece that came loose from the shoulder tube. If you have that then all you need to do is get some Permatex Plastic Weld Epoxy. You can get it at just about any auto parts store for about 8 bucks and it's easy to use. Once you get that all you have to do is use it to put the pieces back together and then let them set for 5-6 hours. Once dry, you can sand any parts that aren't smooth and then insert the arm back in and you should be good to go. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. archangeli Posted December 6, 2015 Is it one of the new internal torso frames that looks like this? You can buy repair bits from CoolCat. These are plastic replacements for the hole that the arm peg goes into. http://us.sk-coolcat.com/front/bin/ptdetail.phtml?Part=D2-1220-10&Category=382741 And they also sell aluminum reinforcement rings for that hole (and the hips) to prevent this from happening again. This is the link for the shoulder and hip set, but you can buy them separately if you need to. http://us.sk-coolcat.com/front/bin/ptdetail.phtml?Part=dp-01c&Category=382741 99% of the time you will buy the LARGE size. There are only a few dolls that are the exception to them - Reimu, Akira v1... etc... So if you don't have one of these first generation DDS bodies, always buy the LARGE size.
