Try at a DD faceup

Hi guys! This is my first attempt at painting a Dollfie Dream so, it's not exactly in the same category in anime style as the most I've seen. I hope to get better at this as I get more practice! I didn't realise how much I'd have to plan ahead before painting so now I know that and hopefully can make better results. I have loads of heads to paint so you'll se more from me.

 

She's a DDH-01 head on MDD3 body, she's my first DD and kinda the squishy baby of the variety.

The faceup is so lovely! Very detailed and expressive. I think you did a WONDERFUL job!! It looks so professional.

It's absolutely gorgeous! The white details on the edges of her lashes work so well with the white lines on the eyes, and the little lines of blush look super duper cute.

It's her first DD faceup, not first faceup ever, she does bjd faceups if you check her flickr

Aww thanks! It's indeed my first DD faceup, not my first faceup ever. I've painted BJD's in a semi-realistic way so this was a step to the unknown. I will paint more of my dolls as I get some good weather, allthought it doesn't seem likely anytime soon... It just rains so much lately.

She is excellent! The BJD style shows, but it looks good.

It's actually a big jump aesthetically from resin doll style too DD's.

I think you did an excellent job blending the styles!
