Outfits That Can Stain VS. Outfits That Don't

Which ones do you prefer? Would you not buy an outfit because it could possibly result in staining your dollfie? Or would that not matter?

It depends on what kinds of outfits you want to have your Dollfie Dream wear. If you want to put her in more revealing outfits, I guess it is better to avoid staining. If she is always more covered, then some people might not mind. You can try to prevent staining using protective layers, but some layers have too loose a weave to prevent staining if the fabric is very dark and/or very tight.

Sometimes, an outfit might stain only after prolonged wear. Your girl might be safe for just a photo shoot. However, there have been some posts about Saber's Maid outfit staining within 15 minutes.

I remember someone mentioning before that they had a body or two that he uses specifically for dark clothing. It sounds like a great idea, but kind of expensive.

There are lots of really nice outfits with dark fabric that might stain. I generally try to use a white layer, but I won't hesitate to get a dark outfit because I think it will stain.

I buy whichever outfits I like... I happen to like dark clothes for myself, and so Aoi tends to wear dark colors too. Worst case you have to do stain removal treatment.

I do think it's a little odd that Volks items seem to be the worst stainers, at least in my experince, but there's prbably some contract/logistical issue there. They've been lining most outfits better lately too. Though that MDD sukumizu always bugs me... For Louise to wear it, I'll basicly have to find a white sukumizu to put under it.

Here is something to think about with the staining. The air temp and the humidity of where you are at. I would try not useing darker colors on a hot humid day. that way the colors have a less chance to bleed of on your doll.

I guess stain removal treatments aren't as daunting as I feared . Thanks for replying!

I generally stay away from dark outfits that can stain my girls. I prefer not to tempt fate and do what i can to prevent it as much as possible.

Saying that, I do own a few outfits that are known to stain...

Yoko's Default set

Mai Shiranui's default set

Police Woman outfit

Saber's Maid set ( dont have it in hand yet but it is coming )

I need to wash the heck out of the skirt that comes with the Police set as I know it stains. Same when I get the Saber Maid set, thats getting dunked for two days or more.

But I hear news of something that may be able to get rid of ALL our staining issues. Whether it comes out soon here in the states, I have no idea. But read this article about Spray On Liquid Glass.

If what this says is true, we just spray that on clothing and no more stains! That would rock.

I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

Sounds like me lol. R.M. has a pair of medium brown pants that may need a good washing, now that I think of it . Cool link by the way! That liquid glass would be super useful if it worked .
