A refreshing experience.

I just bought the new release Smart Doll Chitose Kasshoku and some accessories.

No click war. No lottery. No 8+ month wait. She'll ship in 5-10 days because the doll and her accessories were already manufactured before she went on sale. And everybody who wants one can place an order and be guaranteed to get one. No mysterious limited quantities. No outrageous secondary market prices. No disappointments.

 

That's how it should be done.

So true K-2, the stress things like limited times to order really dampen the fun in this hobby.. now he had the blank dolls too this saves me having to sell more of my things to try get my El back in one piece again. don't have to worry about the body's going out of stock now waiting to long for them t come back ether.. and if they did he would update us on his twitter/facebook soon as he knew why and how long.

That why I was drawn to his dolls honestly. I ordered my darling last night so can't wait to see her IRL

In all honesty, I'm getting a little deterred from the doll hobby because of how "limited" everything is and the secondary market prices. I would seriously throw a ton of money at Volks if things were readily available but alas. I think I'd rather give my money to independent creators and people like Danny who are innovative and listen to the fans. (or use what is readily available to make my own!) It's just way too stressful for me, I guess.

 

But that's just me xD

 

I can't wait to have more Smart Dolls in my collection, Mirai is my favorite out of the girls I have so far.

Actually, Chitose Kasshoku isn't going to start shipping till June 1st, provided I was "ninja quick on checking out" as Danny suggests. I checked out 3 1/2 minutes after she went on sale (the 9AM JST "presale"). Hopefully that was quick enough.

That's not really fair though, if you want a Volks standard model they're all in stock, except for Miko.
