Incoming Anime Heads and 40cm boy body from Parabox (update)

And the wrist parts are back up on the site. Thanks for informing them, Fluffy Tank Fairy. One of those and a few spines and neck parts are on my list now.

 

Their first fullsets for the 40cm boy is so darling btw!

 

It almost makes me wish I had a little boy character but alas I have to focus on my derpy 20-somethings and teenagers first...

love the clothes waaaah, but i kinda wish parabox know how to positioning the realistic style eyes, they put it on the middle, its makes the dolls looks like glaring at me hahaha, i noticed it for a couple of years now, while they got a really great face up artist but can figure it out hoe to place the eyes, hahaha (just a little rant)

 

but seriously i want that clothes..

So the new anime style heads without eyeholes will be out sometime this month. They have their own page right here. They also say that mask painted versions will be sold sometime later. I wonder what name they'll give these sculpts. It's kinda odd that they only specify that it's meant to look good on 40-45cm bodies since it surely looks versatile enough to be fine on 47-50cms or even bigger since the head size is 9 inches, but that's not new for them. I guess they wanted to emphasize the chibi-ness. xD

While not the BOY body, I have several of my girls on the female 40cm Obitsu bodies. Here's a few pics for size comparisons since the boy body would be the exact same height as these:

It seems most of the time, the 40cm comes up to the shoulder of a regular DD or DDdy girl. I hope these pics help you out!

Cool, thanks a lot for the comparison shots! I think that's about the height I'm going for, so I guess it's time for me to start prepping for my next doll...

I know I'm kinda late(plus the comparison isn't even with a 40cm Parabox boy... welp), but I noticed that Parabox put up a comparison picture of Obitsu 50cms & 60cms and DDS & DD(3) bodies.

 

I found it on the Japanese version of their body measurements page. I can't for the life of me find the English version anymore but it must be somewhere.. @__@" I never scrolled all the way down before and was surprised to see a DD/Obitsu comparison and even DD3 measurements from Parabox. xD

 

Anyway, back to these new heads.. they were officially called Ichigo & Miruku... I guess someone on the Parabox team is a Gintama fan lmao(or just likes strawberry milk). Both heads are available unpainted.

 

 

A few more examples of custom Ichigo, and how that head looks on Parabo 40/45/47 bodies. I also confirmed with English Parabox staff that the headcaps are removable so it can easily be modded.

Another person here who's only partially helpful since I don't own a regular DD either.

Just thought I'd post because I didn't expect the 40cm boy to be as tiny as he was. I thought he'd be more proportioned like an MDD, but he's a bit smaller. But do note for reference that both my smaller boys have neck mods, so give or take about half a centimeter to a full centimeter for height difference.

I noticed that you dyed your 40cm guy but you're still using the white joint parts.

Angel Philia has a limited supply of tan joint parts available. Their tan might not be as dark as your guy's skin, but they would be a lot closer than the white color.

-Headdesk- I don't know why that never crossed my mind LOL! I always forget AP use the same joints. That would look a lot better.. and would probably take to being colored a shade or two darker better too. Thanks so much K-2, I'll definitely have to try to nab some of these

@ Noxxbunny: Your doll family is so precious! I'm kind of surprised at how tiny the height difference is between Lyca, Ami, and Miles, but the boys did get a bit shorter.. DDS bodies look so tall next to them! xD Have you decided what head will go on that body? And I did have some troubles dyeing joints.. but it is an option if you don't want to buy an entire set of new joints for him. I was eyeing those AP parts too if I ever messed up THAT badly but I didn't need to get them in the end.

Yeah, these three have the weirdest little differences! It's all in the shoulders, it seems. I think the 45cm height is my favorite with MDD and DDS though. As for the head, I want to aim to get Kagamine Rin! So then Kaito will sort of have more of his actual little sister(that's my headcanon going off!) instead of these three oddballs that he just keeps out of trouble Plus I think she's super pretty!

 

I'm still iffy on the dyeing process just because I don't have a good setup to do it, but I hope I get to move soon, so then it'll be easier to try. The AP joints are just super tempting because they'll look better than the current ones and I'm super lazy sometimes lol
