sinclair Posted October 14, 2016 My in-laws have 40 acres of land near Heber, AZ, and they are building a cabin on it. It's a great place to get out of The Valley and escape the heat. I go up there and help build some weekends, and since getting Miku, she goes with me when I go. This is from her first time up there, so it's a bit old. Me: Lets go out and take some photos. Miku: Okay. Me: Can you leave Sakura inside, you wouldn't want to drop her and get her dirty. Miku: [Walking outside.] No! Me: [Chasing after her.] Miku, come on, you shouldn't bring her. Do I need to take her? Miku: I'm not leaving her. Me: [Takes Sakura from Miku.] Fine, I'll put her here so that she won't get dirty. Miku: Daddy, give her back! [Jumping up trying to reach her.] Miku: [Tripping.] Aggggghhh.... Miku: [Crying] Waaaa. Me: Sigh, fine, here is Sakura. Miku: [still whimpering.] Baka Daddy. [Gets up and starts to walk away.] Me: Miku, where are you going? Miku: Baka, baka, baka... Me: [starts walking after her.] Miku, where are you? [starts searching around. Looks under a tree.] There you are. Please don't run off like that Miku, you could get lost. I was worried. Miku: But you were mean to me Daddy. Me: I'm sorry, I just don't want Sakura to get all dirty. You do see how much dirt there is, right? Look at your shoes, do you want Sakura to get that way? Then you couldn't sleep with her until she gets washed. Miku: But she didn't want to be up in that tree, she was scared and alone. Me: Okay, how about I put her in my pocket then? Miku: I guess that'd be okay. Here. Me: Thank you. Now lets go get some photos of your kawaii self. The rest of the morning I got several shots. These are the better ones. She's been up there 4 times now, and each time I take some photos. I really need to get a doll stand as she's had a major fall each time. Check my photo thread to see some of the other shoots. I hope to update it today.
katnaper Posted October 14, 2016 She looks quite adorable! I like the how you made the shot to have things more or less to scale with her. She just looks like a normal kid walking around so that's great. So natural.I like the second the the last shot the most and one where she was sitting on the tree. The last image was nice too except for Miku being out of focus. That pose made her look just like she was standing in a forest. Anyway, great story. I enjoyed reading it and look forward to seeing more. We have our own BLOG. Please visit us at the House of Nyan by clicking this link or our sig above. See you there. sinclair Posted October 14, 2016 It was a while ago I shoot these, but I don't think I was actively seeking to make things scale, just looking for what felt natural, so I guess that does include scale. But yes, I was pleased with what I had.
Anna-neko Posted October 15, 2016 can I just say.. it's great how her clothes are so on point for a lil hike out? Especially the twin-tails in braids to keep it neat!
sinclair Posted October 15, 2016 Yes you can say. The braids just happen to be in when we went as my wife braided a week earlier than our trip due to how crazy her tails had become. But even in braids it was a mess after a couple weeks. Miku's hair just has a mind all of it's own. Anywho, I did get jeans for her just so she had something to go out like this in. Ie-Aster Posted October 18, 2016 Love her outfit and posing. The last two are my favorites for how natural Miku looks. The terrain is so cool looking, as well. Kinda makes me wish I didn't live in a city far from any sort of wild places At home: Mei (DDP Lucy custom), Aku (DDB Takane custom) En route: L.
