New announcements? SAO and Emilia Dollfie Dreams

She's starting to grow on me too tbh, but I really can't justify her right now. Oh well. I can't think of a character she works for either.

I really like Emilia! I'll defiantly be entering for her. Her sculpt is really cute to me but IDK if I'll keep her default faceup.

I just want parts of her outfit (Panties, skirt, dress top, and ribbon hair clip.), but if the price is right might take the whole outfit to get them. But other than that, I have no interest in her. Good luck for those that put in.

I have no interest in her outfit, just her as a doll. Would you want to enter with me & split her?

Got Kirito yesterday and super happy! Actually does look better in person. His outfit is indeed all in black but some things to note. Firstly his coat is lined in that grey material Volks sometimes uses as lining. I don't think that will stain, and I did a wash of the outfit and noted rather surprisingly that very little dye came out which I think is a first! It looks very likely that Volks has pre-treated the outfit to reduce staining. Anyway I've dressed mine up in the default set but if you are worried about staining then I suggest a body stocking. One thing I was disappointed in was that he didn't come with socks and I feel like his boots will stain so we made some little white socks to protect his feet. ^^

 

Not sure if just mine but the gloved hands were very loose in their socket so I suggest rubbing a bit of super glue onto the surface of the peg to give it better grip.

 

Anyway shall try taking some photos of him and Asuna (original version) in the next few days when I get some sunlight!

Can't wait to see him, archeotech!!

 

Emilia has that subtle little smile I like, and her eye shape is unique. I look forward to seeing her!

Ugh it is official. I'mma go for Emilia. I just find her face so interesting. I'm assuming I'll lose, but we'll see.

 

I probably won't keep her fullset, so if anyone is interested in the outfit I may be lookin' to rehome it soon enough~ (assuming Volks grants me her lol).

 

As a side note I'd LOVE to see her without her eyes. I hate those default eyes so much. I am unsure why but they really bother me.

Honestly if Emilia were NS instead of SWS I would try for her, because then I could repaint her head into Dia Kurosawa from Love Live Sunshine. But alas~

The officla Volks images and the user images popping up are so different o.O I really REALLY want her, I think I might enter the lottery now. These new images have me sold. Volks did a lovely job.

 

Side note, not sure if this has come up but am I the only one who thinks her eyes are too big compared to the show? Maybe I'm seeing things @_@

I think Dia would be lovely in SWS, you should try it!

Okay, I really, REALLY, need to see the head blank. Her face structure is really good for a character of mine but she hardly ever smiles and if that admittedly weird looking smile is part of the sculpt then I'd have to pass most likely... Just sanding it off would leave it flat which wouldn't look much better and idk if I can justify trying to add more neutral lips on to her after sanding her mouth...

 

Anyways here's some photos someone got. Anyone who knows faceups and modding better, would making it work be as bad as I think it would be? Or am I wrong? In some of the photos the mouth looks so... Subtle? But in others it looks rather strong...

 

 

 

If I do get her, anyone want her outfit and stuff? It's cute but I doubt I'll use it. I'd only want her head and body.

She looks much better blank than I anticipated... but then again, Volks also did Kirika's face up in a way that completely masked the actual shape of her eyes, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that the same thing happened with Emilia. ^^; I'm not familiar with Re:Zero at all so I don't know Emilia's character, but maybe one day I'd like to get her for customisation purposes. :3

Oh, that was quicker than I expected! Can't wait to see what she does with her.

Those look like elf ears to me, too.

Now I can't wait to see custom faceups on her head. I still don't want my own, but seeing her head blank and with different wigs and clothes shows she'll be a looker if done up right.

Her eye shape is just so fascinating to me. I can't figure out how I'd wanna paint her...

Thanks to Nanami-san's blank Emilia head I was able to mess around in good ol' photoshop. My face-ups tend to lean on "one" default style since I'm boring and uncreative. Lmao

 

But anyways, if I were to have an Emilia for myself I'd probably paint her this way. (Given I wasn't inspired by anything particular)

 

 

Looking at her sculpt now (since it's blank), she reminds me a little of Ranko Kanzaki with less of a "frog" mouth. They would probably make good sisters... Oh no...

With your name being Subaru, a lot of people would assume you would want an Emilia. Ahahahahaha.

oh my gosh, that's adorable. Now I want an Emilia, oh noooo. She's adorable, but her default face-up is awful. Maybe I'll hunt for her secondhand, haha.

Does anyone know Volks USA shipping schedule for Asuna& Kirito? I recall it originally being mid August but Intl was originally mid July and shipped out end of July.

Still going for Emilia. glad finally some others are starting to see how lovely she is as well.

If it was meant to be my own doll I'd probably get a new faceup like I'm doing with my Asuna. But my bf happens to like it quite a bit. And if he likes it I'm happy ~

 

Heck I'm just happy he has interest in wanting a doll really hope he'll be able to get her!

Archeotech, your shots turned out fantastic! They make such a great couple in those photos. Now I'm chomping at the bit for mine to come in from USA, lol.

 

That blank Emilia is quite enlightening. I feel kind of vindicated that most of her weirdness was in the face up like I said early on, lol. It's a good thing for my wallet that she's NS and not tan; if she were the latter, she'd be excellent for my Aurin in the game Wildstar, lol.

 

Though that brings me to ask: any blank shots of Kirito yet? I think I have a good idea how his face is built, but being able to PS on face up ideas would help me be more patient.
