Mini Dollfie Dream

Recommended Posts

PastelKitten

I'm going to be buying a Mini Dollfie Dream soon. I'm torn between a girl and a custom boy MDD. If i get the body to make it a boy's body would the clothing be unisex since it's the same body? I'd just be changing the gender but not the body.

Are you asking if we think the doll will look boy-ish instead of girly? I think that depends on what clothes you use and the head. My friend has an MDD that dresses in what you'd call unisex clothes (maybe even some more girly ones), but you can tell it's a boy in my opinion.

Im sorry if you're asking something else and I misinterpreted it wrong.

It just seems hard to have a boy doll dress androgynous and still have people believe that he's a boy

I mean, as long as he's a boy to you, other people aren't really gonna disagree with that? You don't need to justify it to anyone?

I wouldn't really say I dress my boy androgynously, but his looks range between these two examples. I've never had anyone call him a girl. Surprisingly.

Your boy is adorable! But when i first got into the doll community i started on Tumblr which was a bad idea because doll collectors on Tumblr are horrible to each other.! But as long as im happy with him that's all that matters.

In all honesty every community on tumblr is horrible because tumblr is horrible, and I say that as someone who has been on the site since 2010 but can’t leave due to a combination of Stockholm syndrome and it being an easy way to keep in touch with my online friends who don’t use other platforms.

Like Noxxbunny says it doesn’t really matter. The MDD body is technically a girl but works fine as a young boy too.

Yeaaaaah....Gonna agree about Tumblr not being a great place in general. I have an account solely for looking at posts/artwork in a semi-coherent way when I need to, but otherwise I don't touch that place with a 20 foot pole if I don't have to.

This forum and Instagram have been nothing but nice to me. You're in good hands here lol.

Late reply, but thank you both I'm always really glad he gets such a good reaction. Maybe I was a bit worried about having a boy MDD too No regrets though.
