cfx Posted February 10, 2019 I'm not sure how much is new versus shown before; there's a number of HAFs, Pure Neemo, Obitsu-based dolls, etc.: https://hobby.dengeki.com/event/705710/
Poofiemus Posted February 12, 2019 Rimuru looks pretty good, but GOD I wish he was HAF or Another Realistic. Rimuru-sama deserves 1/3 treatment. Also, I just I am so deeply confused by this thing. WHat IS it?? The tag/sign says it's in the Assault Lily line, but beyond that. . . is it a separate doll? Clothes? A prop? And even beyond those things, just. . .what IS this underwear bug? Please, I hope someone can explain it to me. Otherwise the underwear bug is going to haunt me. 1 In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser. cfx Posted February 13, 2019 I don't know practically any kanji anymore so I can only read the katakana parts of the placard. Under the Assault Lily logo it says "Assault Lily" and under that the name of whatever it is is "Huge " and the next line is "Creature Design: " and last is ": Digital Workshop" Not much help, but it's not just the clothing since it seems to be a "creature." Monty Posted February 13, 2019 Assault Lily has audio dramas and novels, apparently, (but I think the doll line actually did come first?)and some vague story about girls fighting...something, so I assume its something to do with that. *twitter*instagram*art*
cfx Posted February 13, 2019 Rimuru looks pretty good, but GOD I wish he was HAF or Another Realistic. Rimuru-sama deserves 1/3 treatment. Indeed! Hestia even got a HAF, and Hestia sucks. I think there's hope for something better, assuming the series stays popular. It's doing pretty well with scale figures: Rimuru https://myfigurecollection.net/item/740285 (in comments it says this is sculpted but couldn't be photographed) Milim https://myfigurecollection.net/item/798761 Shion https://myfigurecollection.net/item/789306 Rimuru also has a nendo and there's a number of prize figures and garage kits. Poofiemus Posted February 13, 2019 Yeah, the merch companies are probably still testing the waters on Tensura, it seems. Maybe we'll be super fortunate and get a DDSB Rimuru or something. As for the underwear bug, I guess he's a 1/6 scale prop/accessory. How strange. Maybe he's supposed to be what the Assault Lily girls attack? I don't have any 1/6 dolls but now I kinda want him just because he's so weird. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
cfx Posted June 25, 2019 Thought I'd add this here (and change topic title) rather than start another similar topic. Azone always shows various things at AK Garden, and here's the latest: http://figsoku.net/blog-entry-159015.html I like the Alvastaria in Another Dream steampunk dolls.
Tierparkzone Posted June 25, 2019 Yeah, the dolls in the Alvastaria line always have very nice outfits. I'm also positively surprised they are releasing a tan Pureneemo. They started selling tan bodies at the label shops quite a while back, but without matching heads or extra hands it always seemed kinda pointless to me. But man, that Pure Heart Chiika is adorable... Tira Posted July 20, 2019 That Joker is SO hard for me to resist, but I need to save up for a 1/3rd scale Joker... Futaba will not settle for a version of her boyfriend that's half her height.
cfx Posted July 30, 2019 (edited) Azone is always at Wonder Festival, so here are some pictures from what they had there: https://hobby.dengeki.com/event/810290/ http://figsoku.net/blog-entry-165394.html Edited July 30, 2019 by cfx
Singer Yuna Posted December 20, 2019 This big one is beautiful, but I have a big queue of Azone wishlist
cfx Posted February 9, 2020 (edited) So as usual, Azone was at Wonder Festival that just happened. Here's some coverage; if it's all they showed it wasn't so much this time compared to some others, though pink-haired Assault Lily girl above made another appearance: https://hobby.dengeki.com/event/936686/ http://figsoku.net/blog-entry-187992.html This article is from a few days ago and covers a different doll show, but also has a bunch of Azone stuff: http://blog.livedoor.jp/teaoevo/archives/1913300.html Edited February 9, 2020 by cfx

I actually have the Shirai Yuyu version 2.0 doll. The 50cm version of her... Is disappointing. If she weren't standing next to Riri, I wouldn't recognize 50cm Yuyu at all; I would have thought she's another generic high school student. Yuyu's faceup is wrong. The 2.0 version of Yuyu has eyes and "cartoon eyelashes" with sharp angles to give her a (slightly more) distinct look (in the Assault Lily line of dolls). The worst part? The shapes of the 50cm version's eye sockets are wrong. The 50cm version's eyes, lashes, and eye sockets look too round and/or are the wrong shapes. While I'm picking nits and whining, I also don't like the shape and color of the wig Azone used for her. The wig issue can be fixed with another wig from a different manufacturer. The faceup requires an alteration but is doable. The eye sockets' shape? I don't feel adventurous enough to alter that. 1 hour ago, cfx said: This article is from a few days ago and covers a different doll show, but also has a bunch of Azone stuff: http://blog.livedoor.jp/teaoevo/archives/1913300.html It's interesting how the dark purple bunny outfit appears to be black in the first of three photos. The eye sockets' shape? I don't feel adventurous enough to alter that. The faceup doesn't even really look wrong to me, just the eyehole shape that's very wrong. It needs to have eyes shaped about like DDH-09 based on that art. Is this just one of the Azone standard heads? I know a lot of the Iris Collect and various dolls reuse the same heads, but I'm not familiar enough to really know what is what. 8 minutes ago, growcian said: It's interesting how the dark purple bunny outfit appears to be black in the first of three photos. The wearer's dark skin color changed too; likely a camera (or software) using some kind of auto-white balance setting, and working about as well as those always do lol. Monty Posted February 9, 2020 (edited) Not sure how many people here are interested, but I personally thought the most intriguing thing about Azone at Wonfest today was that they apparently exhibited a new 1/6 doll in the Another Realistic series (that use inset eyes, unlike the painted eyes pure neemos have) - Nezuko from Demon Slayer/Kimetsu no Yaiba. And then didn't allow photos of her, and didn't provide any of their own. Except for this one where you can only see her placard and the bottom of her sandles. Looking at the placard, she's painted by Nanami Junko/Ronshuka, which I think is the first time she's done a 1/6 doll? I know Ronshuka is a big fan of the series, so that's pretty cool. Here's another pic where they go out of their way to censor Nezuko with another doll. I've seen Azone have photo bans before, but usually its up to a certain time of day, and its typically because they want to post their official photos first. With Nezuko, literally no one knows what she looks like other than people who went to Wonderfest today. It's so mysterious. I'm not a huge fan of the character but I am very interested in the Another Realistic line (...especially the concept of one that isnt just another schoolgirl) and the weird secrecy about her has me intrigued lol. The placard says her preorder starts in spring and she releases in autumn...but I don't know when they plan to show her online.
