kai-suteki Posted December 28, 2011 (edited) I'm going to change this thread and use it for any mods I end up doing to Tai (My HDD 02 head) for anyone who's interested. As I finish the projects I'll put the links below. I first started with this question: "I'm wondering if I want to slightly change the eye hole shape would I use a file or a knife and cut cautiously? I'm planing on making the eyes more almond shaped (more pointed at the end and inner eye area). Any suggestions would be great, thanks " And turned it into this reality: HDD 02 by kai-suteki, on Flickr List upcoming mods: -Nose mods and piercings: -Home made wig: -DDdy bust mod to DDII-B-02L / Bust: -Skin tone mod: Face mod:http://www.flickr.com/photos/72584914@N04/6806719770/in/photostream/ Body mod result: -Face up: Edited May 17, 2012 by Guest My Flickr BJD Alchemy
littlebearries Posted December 28, 2011 Either would work, but with a knife you'll probably have to sand and buff a little to even it out... and I recommend drawing the shape on the doll first so you don't over cut/sand.
kai-suteki Posted December 28, 2011 Thanks, sounds like a plan. I just hope that I can draw and cut everything equaly.. *nervous* Is there a specific drawing utensil I should use for easy removal and no staining? My Flickr BJD Alchemy
littlebearries Posted December 28, 2011 #2 pencil always works just fine for me, and removes without staining... especially with a little water.

kai-suteki Posted January 18, 2012 Thanks, I'm glad it worked out. At some points I was getting worried that it wouldn't turn out right lol Even with the eyes I was worried that I would over cut the holes thankfully I didn't. My Flickr BJD Alchemy

archangeli Posted March 21, 2012 I just went through your Flickr to see Tai's evolution from floating head to completed doll - and WOW! You put so much work into her and she looks fantastic! I can't believe you made the wig from scratch! She looks much prettier with the Twin-Snow eyes now. I can't wait to see her again on Saturday and have a look at her in person. I have a some questions about how the Tamiya paint and her vinyl behave that I want to pick your brain about Archangeli.net | Twitter: @MsArchangeli | YouTube: Archangeli
kai-suteki Posted March 21, 2012 Thanks and no problem, its still a learning process to me but I went back to the store and had a chat with the owner about the paint since I did some "no-nos" that you'll definitely see at the meet My Flickr BJD Alchemy
