Where do you display/keep your dollfies?

since i live in a pretty dusty home, it is the most effective way i've found to protect my doll and figures 😄 i even made some space in advance for sakura miku (and other figures) that i plan to get later this year ~ not sure how i will decorate her diorama just yet 🤔

Things have changed a lot since I wrote this. Mai and Mochi sit on my desk all day.

Both are above eye level when they stand, so they usually sit. Someday, I might get the Volks swivel chair, but toilet paper rolls make for a nice seat - they don't slip or stain.

At night, Mai sometimes sleeps in the apartment below my desk while Mochi sits on my nightstand while I sleep. Reminds me of this post that @ragnamuffin made a while back. 😅

As a follow-up of sorts to this, my mom is also a bit creeped out by my dolls, although I think it’s the anime aesthetic that bothers her since she’s a doll collector herself (Barbies). Whenever we FaceTime, I flip the camera around to show my dolls and say in a high-pitched voice while shaking it “Mummyyy, we’re coming to get youuu~” 😂 

Mine are on display full time, they live on top of a shelf unit in the corner of my office, in the space that was their original photo space.  I used to set up full dioramas for the month and leave them in their poses/dressed for the whole month.  I've since had too many dolls move in, so I had to change to setting them up on a table for photos and just having them posed together for display.  Here's a wider angle of an old photo showing how they would be for the month.  

I hung the background from a curtain rod and I bought a piece of plexiglass to run the top of the cabinets to make them even.  It was also a pain in the ass to set up lights and take photos 4 feet off the ground, so I don't miss it too much. lol

I prefer my metal shelves that are sealed. The amount of dust is very minimal in these shelves.

The only drawback is that it doesn’t look fancy. 
 

If everything works out fine, some of my dolls may be able to leave the prison cupboard within the next 14 days and move to a display case.

Some day I'll make a video showing my entire collection and where they live.

But basically they all live in my apartment's hallway. It's dark so it's perfect for preserving their looks. Towa's 5 years old this month and honestly looks brand new. She's in the centre of the photo, in the chocomint dress. The only giveaway to their ages are that several have stain ravaged fingers, and it's quite difficult to clean those up.

It gets dusty out there but I've never really noticed the dolls getting dusty. I think dust particles head straight for the Lego.

The Pureneemos live in a door hanger intended to hang human sized shoes from.

Each night a selection of them come into the living room to watch the TV. There's never this many though...

Tonight it's Ciel, Aqua, Megumin, Takina and Momo.

Sometimes they come in during the day, but usually only when it's doll weather (i.e. not sunny). Some help me with my job and Shin Sato bot - usually the brainboxes Ciel and Kazuha.

Incidentally I did a headcount and we've reached 37 if you include Sakura Miku who is on pre-order.

I know I shouldn't do this, but mine are in front of a window on a table currently as I have nowhere else to put them.. I could buy wall shelves but either way a entire wall of mine is basically all windows @.@ ... luckily it doesn't see much direct sunlight except for in the early morning. I'd put them on my figure shelf but there's no room left haha
