Chilmark Posted September 12, 2020 I found this Volks Designer Collection dress in the bargain bin at Dollyteria the last time I was in Japan and thought it looked like a perfect casual outfit for Kosmos. Drapey fabrics that won't get creases if I leave her sitting! Fully lined in white, because I already spent two months removing clothing stains and never wanted to do it again! Super Dollfie size is about two inches too large in the body for an M bust Dollfie Dream. I had it safety-pinned for a long time, but I finally did permanent alterations last week. Here's the front and back, and then I'll explain how I did it. - Use seam ripper to open center back seam. - Use seam ripper to unstitch waist trim and remove associated trim. - Take in the side seams of the bodice until it fits. - Cut apart the layers of the skirt where they are serged together at the top and sides: lining, petticoat layer, and two layers of tulle. Cut one inch from the top of each piece to shorten the skirt to walking length. - Cut the lining layer to fit the new bodice measurement. -Regather all other layers to match lining at top and sides. Sew top and sides to make one multilayered skirt piece. - Resew skirt to bodice and replace trim at waist. - Resew center back seam. - Bustle the tulle layers for visual interest. I also resized the bonnet to fit her smaller head, and added wire to the brim so it holds its shape better. Hope this is interesting to someone, sorry I didn't take WIPs ;u;
