Cheek blushing - is it always necessary?

She's a gift to a really dear friend, specifically a joint Christmas/Birthday present for last year. It's just taken me this long to finish her.

 

Evangelion is her favorite anime (though I'm rather fond of it myself) and since Rei was my favorite character I thought it would be fun to translate my impression of Rei into a something for her.

 

That is such a wonderful gift! I am sure your friend will be so happy!

One day that may come true, but would you being looking for a custom based on an anime character or a custom made to something you like or your own character?

 

*If* this were to happen, I wouldn't be picky. But if I had my input for it, I'd like a custom made like a character I like that Volks didn't make, like Sonsaku Hakufu or Ryofu Housen from Ikki Tousen or something along those lines. That would be awesome!

 

Sae & Tomomi are my own characters based on certain parts of my personality, but are name after members of AKB48

 

And I think that's really cool. Custom girls hold a really strong bond with people I think. I know when I made Mamimi, seeing her come together as a final version of an idea I had was really cool. And having bits of your personality in your girls is how my girls are patterned too! All of my girls have some part of my personality in them.... usually ramped up or overdone a bit for more impact. Doing this makes them more your own and also easier to relate with and share stories about.
