Dollfie Progress So Far!

My DD is slowly coming along, and I’ve got hands coming Friday! Im super excited (please ignore the flower particulates on my shelf haha) 

Looking good so far! She is almost complete it looks like.

Do you have a specific head/character in mind for her already? Or are you going to wait and see what pops up at a good price? In any case, I'm looking forward to see her once she's done, there isn't that much left to go!

Omg thank you!! 😄 I’m thinking of using a DDH-07 or a Katana sculpt chaos head (on the rare chance I find one!) I adore serious dolls with less-round eyes but I can also wait and see. I might find one I really like on the second-hand market that doesn’t fit my original plan just like you said ^-^

Thank you, I’m really happy with her so far! ^-^ I just need wrists, an arm, and a head now! (I just got the hands today 😆)

The DDH-07 is a great sculpt, I have one of them rolling around as well. Unfortunately my only doll body is currently not with me, but once I get it back I'll swap heads and enjoy my DDH-07. They are definitely suitable for a more serious or stern expression, they have this.. quiet dignity to them - just like Katana! Best of luck in your search! Do you plan to do the face-up yourself?

Yesss theyre the best!!😄💓 Quiet dignity is a great way to describe it. I’ll attempt it myself! I’ve been practicing by drawing ontop of pictures of blank heads in procreate (though I know the process will be totally different different!) 

Do you have any pictures of your DDH-07? Id love to see!

Oh, that's great! Doing face-ups yourself looks tough, but I'm sure it's incredibly rewarding once you nail that look you were going for  I'd like to try it out myself sometime.. maybe get an extra practice head to paint, wipe, paint, wipe, paint until I'm satisfied, haha! For now, I limit myself to factory face-ups, but I keep an eye on a couple artists as well. Perhaps a custom will someday fall into my hands or maybe I'll specifically commission something, but that's still in the future!

She's wearing a face mask and is safely wrapped in protective layers as long as she remains just a head.  I know I said earlier that she was 'rolling around', but for now, my precious princess lives in security custody. I'm so sorry, honey, I swear I'll let you out soon.

Since she's a default face-up though, I can show you pictures of her 'siblings'

This is a DDH-07 head with the M01 face-up in Semi White, just like the one I have.

I'm honestly not sure where/how you can get these outside of Dream Choice. I assume they are sold as separate option parts in the physical stores, but I only joined the hobby earlier this year, so I really have no clue whatsoever. I got mine on Ebay for a really good price and I plan to turn her into a Saber lookalike. I only have the head for now, but once she's fully assembled I'll definitely show her off properly on the forum!

Wow I always forget you can build a custom Dollfie from parts.

Faces are everything though and I bought my first (Towa) because I thought her sweet and innocent face was just sooo adorable.

I have just apparently bought a custom made Dollfie though, rather than one of the standard or character models. If the world hadn't fallen apart I did plan on going to Japan to get a custom one made, but this is the next best thing.

Painted heads (outside of character dolls) can only be gotten via Dream Choice or D’Coord. The heads sold in-store and on the website are all blank.
