DebbieF Posted October 15, 2022 I have been lurking for a while, enjoying looking at everyone’s dolls and learning about the world of vinyl BJDs. I only have three vinyl BJDs - a Goodreau Secret, a Granado Vindoll, and now a DD Icon. But I have a bunch of other dolls - mostly 16” fashion dolls, a few 12” fashion dolls, and various sizes of resin BJDs. After I got my Vindoll, I liked the balance of a BJD’s posability without the quirkiness of elastic stringing. I discovered Smartdoll but haven’t yet bought one. Then, I saw a lilac Icon on someone’s FB post. I had to figure out who and what she was! I watched for a year for them to go on sale again. I was surprised to win the lottery to buy Serra. I figured since I have never bought from Volks, there was no way I would get picked. She is awesome! I am hoping to get her an Iris or Clover as a friend next time. Incredible that you won her first try 🥳 Vinyl dolls are wonderful, I have 11 Dollfie Dreams myself (though my resin dolls outnumber them now 😅 something I never expected to happen). I definitely agree on their poseability, I really enjoy how they're able to hold some ridiculous and absurd poses that my resin ladies would never be able to.
