Hello there!!

Hi all! I figured it was about time to actually introduce myself. It's been a bit of time since I first joined, and I've mostly been lurking since then to learn more about vinyl dolls. I have a lot more experience with resin dolls (I've even made a couple sculpts), but I'm very new to vinyl!

I currently have an AP Emma, and I'm planning to hybrid her body with a DDH-10 head I ordered in flesh if I can blush it to match decently. I'm going to name her Sera (short for Seraph or Seraphim) because I think it's cute for my AP girl to be angel-themed.

In addition to the blank DDH-10 head, I'm also waiting on a DDH-01 head I won on Yahoo!JP auctions- she's super cute! (spoilered bc the image is rather large)

I've ordered a Dollbot body for her because the posing looks really nice, and I value that a lot for taking photos of my dolls! She'll be a little demon to keep in theme, and I'm thinking of perhaps naming her Lucy... for reasons that may or may not be related.

I'm looking forward to talking about dolls with everyone here ^^

I like the naming ideas. Look forward to seeing them together!

Welcome to the Forums

@onion12@

The head looks really cute.
If you want to share I am curious how your resin girls are looking. This might be a vinyl forum but a lot of other collectors including me like resin BJD’s too.

Thank you! I'm looking forward to it as well! Lucy's head and body just shipped while I was asleep last night so it shouldn't be long now until she's together, also ^^

Thank you for the welcome! I actually mostly have boys in terms of resin dolls, but my most recent sculpt that I made seems to be more feminine (the goal of the sculpt is to be whatever gender people who have them want, but I currently have my prototype dressed in feminine clothes). The sculpt's name is Page!

(Spoiled because of the image size)

They're missing a hand because 3D printed resin is a tiny bit fragile, heh

That's really cute! Did you physically sculpt and pour or virtual/3d sculpt to start?

Thanks!! And digitally sculpted! My friend printed them out for me in resin at this smaller scale ^^ I also have some cast samples in a bigger size that should be on the way from my caster soon and I'm super excited about that!

That's awesome! And good job on it. Look forward to seeing how the bigger casts turned out. If you post something about it, please tag me.

I love the face up, really beautiful. For the missing hand, it wasn’t bothering me on the photo. It is an opportunity to try to make something. Could be a hand or maybe a protese of some kind. There is a lot of character in this sculpt.

 Also thank you! I still have the pieces of that hand, so I could repair it but honestly I don't mind the oversized s-hook currently, lol. The cast versions will have both hands and be more sturdy though, so that's good 😄
