sweetydoll discussion

Recommended Posts

hi! i finally got my first resin doll! it is a 1/6 chubby body from sweetydoll (bought it from taobao!), the body feels very nice , but posing it is a little bit difficult since the joints are a little bit bouncy. i was wondering if anyone else on this forum has also gotten a sweetydoll?

Can you elaborate what you mean by bouncy?

I just looked them up and the faces are so cute!! They seem pretty affordable too!!

bouncy means that it's kinda hard to pose them and the joints bounce back when you try to do difficult poses

The sculpt of these really is very cute ... but yeah, literally the first thing I found when looking these up was also people talking about how they are not stringed tightly enough and that they are pretty floppy and hard to pose due to that.

So restringing it might do the trick?

I have one of the 1/4 ones and the 1/5 one!

They're very cute and affordable, but the engineering isn't the best 😅 I restrung mine and she's a little better, but I've found the joints make her sorta tricky to pose

i don't have enough strength...(;-;) pulling the s hook out of the body to stabilize the head was quite a challenge =w=

Sorry to necro but if you're not strong enough (like me) you can use a ribbon to remove the head! It works pretty well!
