Smartdoll Boys - How Often Are They Sold?

Hi!  I recently found out that Smartdoll does male dolls, and I'm absolutely in love - but I've heard they're only for sale certain times of the year.  Is there a pattern to this, or is it just random?  I'd love to get my hands on one but I can hardly find them pre-owned, too

Hello!! They were available a few years ago and they haven’t been for a while but some smartdoll social media posts have confirmed that the new boy body is being developed so we might be seeing them available again probably this year

There are also plans for a buffer sculpt , but after Twitter convinced him of a lack of 1/3 male vinyls he decided to work on adapting the old boy body to the Evolve frame. I'm looking forward to it, since the Evolve frame is just amazing - both my smartdoll girls have it and it's SO solid compared to my DD and Parabox bodies.

It would be nice if they would come back, I follow a couple folks on Insta who somehow have multiples and I really do like the look, though I know it's not for everyone. I really wish they were more available but we have to wait and see about Danny's whims I guess. I think having people on social media who are already big Smart Doll fans supporting it does seem to be helping, since we've seen him putting out stuff about new sculpts and asking for edits/input like he did with the pear body, though I doubt they will ever be a priority- though he could prove me wrong I suppose. I guess what I'd say is keep your fingers crossed but don't expect it, and don't expect it anytime soon, necessarily, but I'd say it's still a possibility. Danny has stated that he makes things he specifically likes for himself, but he's also said he likes fulfilling niches other dollmakers apparently don't (such as with the medical stuff, more body/skin diversity etc) so... there's a chance that as long as Volks or some other company doesn't suddenly decide to fulfill that niche themselves, that particular habit of his might make it work. But I guess we'll have to see.
