The size difference between DDS & DDP busts is so great, I don't see any possible way for that to work. DDS SS-bust is flatter than DDP S-bust, but the DDS-SS covers more surface area, so I don't think it would be a good fit in compared to the size of the DDP body. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction. I have so many dolls that they have formed their own country.

chef_mai Posted May 11, 2024 If you want to slip on something flatter than the S-bust on the DDP, you'll have better luck with a Obitsu-compatible bust that's made flat like the Dollypop SS bust or maybe the Parabox boy bust if they still make that.

I edited it to show why I wanted to try it. I wanted it to sit lower on the waist so the upper torso and shoulders would be wider. I like how it looks in my mockup but idk how it would look from the side. ~(・⊝・)~ Tumblr DOA

I don't believe you could use the upper DDS frame with the lower DDP frame, the DDP has a snap together frame while the DDS relies on friction. The upper DDP frame would be inset too far to have the DDP arms snap in. The DDS arms wouldn't work with the DDP upper frame. I can't speak to @chef_mai's suggestion of Obitsu, and I don't know if there is an Obitsu part that would make the hybrid you want to make, but chef_mai has a lot more experience Frankensteining dolls together than I do. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction. chef_mai Posted May 12 I tested this combination today out of curiosity. It predictably doesn't work. For starters, the size difference is enormous. It's not a matter of flat or not - it's a different scale altogether. Once put a DDS bust on a DDP body, while there's no gapping, the bust sits so low that it ends up "repositioning" the waist lower, making the whole figure look weird. While shoulders don't look odd, the range of motion is reduced since they're sitting inside the bust. Once clothed, some of these flaws are less obvious. I was surprised at how well the head seated onto the neck. But all in all, it's a pretty bad fit. There are better options if you have to swap, but imo, the ddp is best left with the default bust since it highlights the strengths of the body. Dressed in form-fitting clothing, it's got more shape to it than it's given credit for. 1
