So I found this taobao page a while ago and couldn't find any discussion about them yet, but these new vinyl girls are looking very promising!

The artist has a history of making parts that are compatible with Angel Philia (hands, feet, and even an improved spine/skeleton) and these dolls appear to be going for a similar aesthetic. They seem to be smaller though? Maybe closer to slim MSD size

I've purchased one of them purely out of curiosity, and from what I can tell currently the first batch is still in production. I'm very curious about the jointing, but I'm a little concerned that they might be unstable.

Oh, that frowning head....I'm in trouble.

Apparently, they are working on a second body that is meant to be more curvy as seen in this post.

And, if I understood correctly, they also want to try and do a 1/3 body!

Q: Will there be a 1/3 scale body that's like a mix or balance between Unit 1 and Unit 2?

A: That's a given. 

Correction: Someone pointed out that the person might have more likely been asking about a third body type for 1/4! But, I still hope that the artist might consider working on a 1/3 body in the future too!

 

Definitely will be keeping an eye on this. I'd love to get a tan girl in 1/3

Oh, that tummy of that more chubby body looks adorable, can't wait to see how that looks on the actual doll.

Wonder if that possibly could be compatible with Angel Philia parts, I have been missing a lower torso with a bit of cushion on it.

This is the perfect thread, thank you! I was also considering buying this body for a tan AP head I just traded for.
Maybe I should wait for the curvy one, wow!!

Mine is actually in the mail, she's on her way! But it'll still be a couple weeks before I actually have her in hand. 😫

I've been seeing Chinese hobbyists getting theirs for a while now (I think mine took a little longer because the tan ones were delayed?) and the posing seems REALLY good. Potentially pretty gappy when the joints are fully engaged though... that's the biggest criticism I've seen so far. That and they're a little unstable without a stand, but I kind of expected that considering how slender they are.

My Corvus Corax girl arrived today! And boy... it may just be the "yippee new doll" excitement talking, but I'm very impressed with her!

The thing that stuck out to me the most about her is that she's SO soft. I expected her torso to be soft (the best comparison I can make is how soft obitsu/parabox torsos are, but from what I've gathered it might be more similar to the "soft skin" Angel Philias?) but her arms, legs and feet are also super squishy. This means she can achieve super impressive poses, but her torso is very prone to warping and creasing.

The only parts (beside the skeleton) that are a harder vinyl are the hands and the head (though the headback is also squishy! Which is very convenient)

Her posing is very good! I'd say comparable to Obitsu, but with much better wrists and ankles in my opinion.

These aren't the neatest, but I wanted to show the amount of gapping and warping some poses can cause. As I'd come to expect the knees are quite gappy when fully bent, but you can actually bend them quite far before you see significant gapping. She's also a little fiddly to stand, but she actually stands on her own better than I expected! Though I was expecting absolutely nothing, lol

Overall she definitely seems worth the price to me! Much better quality than I was expecting, and she came with 3 pairs of hands (with attached wrist pegs) and a pair of heel feet which seems quite generous. I'm a little concerned that she'll stain super easily and her soft vinyl parts might be easily damaged, but I guess I'll find out with time.

Really hope it'll be easier to get these girls from overseas in a while, Taobao really dislikes me. I want one so badly now!

That is some impressive posing! I was going to hold out for the chubby model, but perhaps I'll bite sooner rather than later. If you could, what other skintones do you think she matches?

Do the wrist pegs fully rotate for poses? (That always bugs me on AP's lol)

I definitely will be trying for the plump body and maybe even this one in the future.
Do they offer a SW color to match AP heads?
