Having trouble with the DDIII frame

I’ve been stain treating my doll for a while now and when I was rinsing her leg I noticed it was weirdly bent? I’m having issues with posing it as well I’m not sure what’s going on. I decided I’m not going to continue stain treating her until I figure this out.

It looks like the frame piece below the right knee has been turned around 180 degrees.  It should be arching to the rear of the doll, not the front.  Try spinning it around and see if that fixes it.

Her leg is still bent. I took the frame out and the knee joint looks bent. Is it supposed to look like this?

That's bent out of shape.  You'll have to heat it up, using a hair dryer, heat gun or hot, near boiling water.  Then, bend it back to straight up and down, and immediately dunk it in ice water.  It should stay in the shape you want.

I concur with @Galvatim , that is definitely bent and needs to get straightened out using the methods he described.  Good luck!  :)
