Constant Changes

My girls keep getting updated looks because I’m just not happy with everything! I need to update their profiles again 🙄 I did a trade for one of my girls for a bunch of accessories, clothes, and eyes and I’m so much happier!!

I also have this new girl! She’s a DDH03. I am not sure about the size (she’s smaller than an MDD head) but I do like her 80’s aesthetic. Hoping to get her a body soon. No names yet.

Here is my newest girl! I still need to do more cleaning but dressed her up for now.

I swear I’m cursed with DD. New girl decided she wanted one of her shoulders to break. I’m not about to spend $77 on a new arms. Blessed be the PVC cement. Don’t mind the messy globs there wasn’t much left of the plastic to hold these two pieces together so trying everything before reluctantly buying..

 

Well looks like she needs a new shoulder or much less new arms ☹️ I have the dang DD curse I have no clue how this could’ve happened..

There is still one chance, although a very fiddly one, if you happen to have a 1mm drill bit, or something similar like a dremel to drill holes in both sides for a small metal pin to reinforce the broken joint with the glue. though since this is the shoulder youd need two side by side to handle the turning.

But on the positive side, that looks like a F3 shoulder, so those are still available.

I sadly don’t have those tools and the break looks like a twist off break. I’m going to see if someone is selling just the right side but I guess I’ll have to order her new arms..it sucks! I just got her yesterday

Update: I’m doing a last ditch effort with 2 part resin. So far half of it has hardened and waiting on the other half. It feels promising. Anything to not pay for new arms 😑 also should I get an adyke body for her?? Someone’s offering one for trade and it’s tempting 🤭

Changes again!! Yuzu is finding a new home but these two girls have been updated. My little twins 🤍

I swear my trade partner is the sweetest 😭 she sent me not 1 but 2 arms after telling her my DD arm troubles. Not only is my girl getting the silicone body and bust, she is getting new arms for both her vinyl and silicone body 😖 I am so excited and so happy since it’s been a struggle

Thank you! I’ve gotten all my eyes from trades I love them so much!!

I could just cry my trade partners items came in and look at my girl. She has arms for both bodies!! Only thing I’ll be swapping are feet. I am so happy

I do 🥰 I’m so far pretty happy with everything traded. I’m down two 3 vinyl girls. I don’t think I’ll be continuing trading anything so probably will be buying things instead.

Part 2 of my trade came in! My trade partner forgot to add this dress and it just arrived. It’s supposed to fit DDdy and it fits her fairly well! Just had to just things into the right places. Girl same 

I LOVE that dress!

Never satisfied! Another wig and eye change (and back to vinyl). I love her new silicone body but I also like her petite look. It’s nice to have an option to swap. I am expecting a new head! I want to update my main girl and I’ll be painting it myself. I have painted since college and never anime style. It’ll be a learning curve but picking up supplies this weekend in preparation. I love her current head but I wanted more prominent lips. 

Her head finally came in! It’s more realistic than her previous head. I did try my hand at a faceup today but no photos because it was bad (too heavy, I wasn’t patient). I’ll probably attempt a few more times but I may send her off. Depends on how much patience I have.

She’s just begging me to give her some makeup 😆 maybe this weekend?? I’ll try again soon.

Good luck! Faceups can be very difficult, but as long as you keep trying, you'll eventually end up with something you enjoy! I don't have many practical tips to give you, as I'm still a beginner myself, but I'll be rooting for you!

Thank you! I’ve done a few faceups (nothing crazy). I’m just sealing her face and bust and trying again. My biggest downfall was no acrylic paints..I don’t realized you need that will be getting some this weekend

Ah, I see. I don't have any experience with paints tbh, I did mine with watercolor pencils and pastels only, as I have shaky hands. Again, I hope it goes well. 😊

My second attempt on a DD. I am happier with the outcome considering I only used watercolor pencils and pastels. Her eyebrows turned out not so even and I hate her lips. I did notice the back of her head is cracking possible due to the extreme heat where I am 🥵 I also did blush her chest and tried to color correct as it’s an older bust. Overall I give my efforts a 7/10!
