Musty Smell on Body

Recommended Posts

Emi_memi

Hello! I received such a lovely body in a trade but sadly she has a sort of musty smell. I have washed her part in dawn dish soap and this has helped 60% but the smell is there. I’m not allergic or anything like that but I do want her to smell fresh. Any tips are welcome!

Oh no I'm so sorry that happened!
I've seen folks stuff pieces of a scented dryer sheet inside their vinyl doll that arrived with a smell. 🤔 Or stuffing cotton balls with a drop of essential oil on them into the legs or head.

If you have a big enough bin, you can put her in there with baking soda and coffee grounds/beans for a few days. I did this to get cigarette smell off a doll

I’ll try this as well it’s not overwhelming just a slight tint maybe due to storage? I’m not sure.

Since it isn't too strong it might help then. Definitely take her apart if you can. It'll help.

If NOTHING else works, I recommend the D-stinker spray from Twin Pines. Spray all the parts including inside them
