di-chan123 Posted Saturday at 04:13 PM Hey! Recently I did a small adventure of making a Rumi doll for my niece from the movie K-pop demon hunters for her birthday and just wanted to share how she turned out. First thing was finding the right base for the doll. I used fashionista 214, as I liked her look and petite form I then set to work pulling out her hair and using doll planet hair Japanese Saran in moon age and purple fortune. I found mixing the two gave a beautiful gradient of colour. I did a dragon braid for the style, it uses many clear elastics and took a few tries to make it sit close to her head. The outfit is all sewn by me, I used Chelly Wood doll patterns for the shorts and shirt and used and modified the shirt pattern for the jacket. The patches are off Etsy from NeCosSupplies. The project took about 3 weeks to complete, I did have to reroot the head twice as I accidentally added way too much hair and then ripped the head open at the seams😅 thankfully I had two Barbie’s in case an error like that occurred after doing this, I now want to make one of my Dollfies have this outfit. Hopefully it will be easier to sew then making it 1/6 scale first
Giallo_Gatta Posted Sunday at 12:23 AM Yo, this is great! For working at such a small scale, I think you did a very good job! The hair, especially, is impressive.

PolitelyNefarious Posted Sunday at 07:33 PM Wow. Wow! Your niece is a lucky young lady. Barbie Rumi looks incredible, like something I could have just plucked off the shelf. The impeccable stitchwork, the spot-on graphic tampos, the hair... Two full rerootings in three weeks? I could never. Bravo!
