The boy is home (FFXIV Alphinaud)

He's finally home after a little over a year! Not bad, since the estimate was actually November. The box is gorgeous, but I might be biased because Old Sharlayan (the city featured) is one of my favorite areas in the game.

Now for my commentary:

So some people were complaining about the ears popping out too easy. Once I put two magnets inside, I haven't had trouble. If the wig is pushing them out for you, it's entirely possible you have it too far down on the head. I manhandled this boy for the pics and the ears didn't budge for me so *shrugs*

MY biggest complaint is actually that the neck piece doesn't have a true way of attachment. It just sort of floats there and the little rounded doohickies on the coat aren't enough to hold it if you touch him in any way. Second complaint is for the life of me I can't get the back magnets to work right. They're hanging on for dear life in that pic. I turned/flipped/moved them every which way and the outer one still won't attach properly. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Overall tho, he is extremely well made. The details are amazing and he was well worth the price for the quality. It's too bad they used pleather on some parts since those will inevitably peel, but all in all, it's so good. (And now to take off everything and make him carbuncle pajamas out of that bandana I got from fanfest a million years ago and proceeded to throw in a cubby and never look at. Oh and then put him in a Halloween costume maybe.)
