MoiBakaDesu Posted Wednesday at 09:17 AM I thought it would be about time to make a little thread to combine my various faceup and custom works into a neat place. And because I have two little guys in the works right now, might as well start with them. These chubby tiny things are going to be a red panda and bunny respectively and it was my first adventure into the realm of airbrush. Not the cleanest work, but I decided to just roll with it and say the little particles are part of the look. The wig there is not cut and styled yet and I am still waiting for the material to do the ears and tails. The other current project is technically already finished, I just have to see if I still have a wig for his big ol noggin. Bonbon Galaxy did great work with that doll, the proportions are so cute and it is pleasant to pose and play with. I got the resin version, so it also has a nice weight. And for future projects ... I caved in and grabbed this banged up DDH-10 from Manda today. I just really like the sculpt and what is already there from the mod, so I am looking forward to polishing and finishing this poor thing. Thankfully the headcap seems to have got it worst in terms of staining and that doesn't really bother me. I might also modify the eye faceup instead of removing it completely, but I will decide that once I have it here.
0bsequi0us Posted yesterday at 05:13 AM Your Xiaohui turned out so cute! Love how the eyes being sorta half closed makes them look even bigger. And the airbrushing looks pretty good to me! I actually think the speckles look quite cute. I tried using an airbrush once and it was a huge mess lol Pixel art by @PlasticJester !

And haha, you are right, it does kinda give that effect with the eyes. I was a little bit "eh" about the faceup before I finished it, because somehow the thickness of the eyeline crease really got thick and messy and I was too frustrated and tired to wipe it ... but I think the end result is still cute enough. Here is also an update on my other little airbrush guys. He was ... Am easier than try 1, although thankfully it isn't noticeable anymore. But the light blue I used for some reason decided to be watery right out of the bottle, so the normal ratio of thinner+paint made it way to runny. Emergency blow-dryer and mixing in some white paint kinda helped saving it.
