Volks 6th Anniversary Fair

Didn't see a thread on this, so.

6th Anniversary Fair, beginning 10/25.

This includes tan hands and frames, wig lucky dip and sales, gacha, and lotto purchases. I've never participated in this before myself, and have questions about the gacha-can you pick a specific size to get gacha for, or are you just kind of hoping you might get a shirt that fits your doll?

(Also: heart hands. I am in interested in heart hands.)

The shirts are all just one size, intended to fit DD/DDS/DDdy. Here's a sample of some being worn:

The only gacha thing that comes in multiple sizes is the eyes: 22mm and 24mm. (I have the talent to always end up with the 24mm ones that are too big for most of my dolls...)

Aha, that's a pity. I'd love see some gacha shirts done in the DDP/MDD sizes.

And thanks to that talent, I now have most of the gacha eyes in 24mm 😁

Samus wore a pair or gatcha star eyes for a while, but they filled so much of her eye it left her a little less expressive.  I've since also only got 24mm eyes, the luck the three of us apparently have.... 

When I checked the pages, all of the wig bags were already sold out...maybe - it's showing "waiting for restock", so perhaps Volks wisened up and didn't put all of them for sale at the same moment this time?

Anyway, managed to order 2 gacha items plus some other stuff (random body bits, a head, some clothes), so my order is also above the 10,000 yen limit for extra goodies. Of course the credit card authorization failed, but only once.

I'll check later on to see whether more wig bags are available. The Doll Point wigs were still all available.

I've been on the fence about ordering one of the standard models for a while (tariffs are annoying and I was debating waiting until Volks US got them), but this event and a recent doll sale pushed me over the edge. 

Got my two gachas, a BUNCH of hands for my Y'shtola, and a Himari! She's gonna become Fern once she gets here.

Hopefully I get at least one shirt from the gacha, I love the shirts I've seen secondhand and those one-size shirts are usually big enough to go on my SmD pear. 

the shirts are so cute! i'm really tempted by the Cappuccino one 😺

are the buttons a separate item or included with the shirt? 

I noticed here it mentions Underwear sets (2 types)? I don't see any in the product photos. Does anyone know what these look like?

And I love all the eyes, but the chance of getting 24mm stresses me out lol

They’re a separate item. They usually come as a set of two—one in human size and one in doll size.

You can see them here, along with the old eye and T-shirt designs. Idk which ones they’re including in the gacha this time, but ever since the renewal last year or the year before, they’ve been selling a mix and match of old and new designs.

I guess the other two that mentioned them don’t like 24mm eyes, but I love them! I’ve actually made it my mission to collect all eye designs in 24mm. Some heads with large eye holes (like the DDH-06) only look good with 24mm eyes, and the larger eyes still look alright on most other heads. The only downside is that they don’t really fit into the smaller MDD heads. Like, you can cram them in there, but you can’t move them around usually.

oh my gosh, so in theory you could have a matching button with your doll!? That is the cutest thing ever!

Ohh really? I think you have convinced me to purchase a few gachas haha  I do like big eyes, I guess I was under the impression that they wouldn't fit in my DDS. But if they will, and still look good, then i would like to try them out!

This is my first time for this kind of thing, can you buy from the Volks Japan store as an American? The hands are listed as "In-store pickup" and obviously I don't have access to that.

 

Also don't understand the GS and VS/VIP labels on gachas.

You can order from the Volks Japan store from anywhere. Some people call it the ‘international store’ since it doesn’t have any restrictions on who can buy (unlike Volks USA, which only services people in North America). ‘In-store pickup’ just means people in Japan can pick up their order at any Doll Point or Sumika store to save on shipping.

...and by "beforehand" Volks mean that they have to have processed your application before you can order, so sign up minimally 2-3 weeks before the Store Anniversary. You'll also need a credit card that allows online verification, they don't take Paypal for GL membership.

It's pretty cheap, and you get to order special items.

i just placed an order for my two gachas~ 

i was waiting for a restock of the L Saddle stand and debating on getting gachas, well i got a restock email this morning so went ahead and ordered  glad i waited it out to the last min so i didn't end up having to pay make separate orders and pay shipping twice.

i got a few more things, some clothes and socks, so i'll get the "spend 10000" bonus.

i am PRAYING for the Cappuccino shirt from the gacha ;-; pleasepleaselpeasepleeeease lol
and a pretty pair of new eyes would be nice too, i love the grey butterflies and the yellow cat eyes~

Oooh, that’s exciting! Please post your haul once it arrives. I’m curious to see what you got too.

If anyone gets the Natsuki shirt in the gacha, (or the button set) and doesn't want it, I'll buy it.

I have been blessed by the Dollfie gods. 

First: this was scheduled to show up tomorrow, which REALLY meant it'd come on Monday since I wouldn't be home to sign.

Second: Got Himari's eyes out first try without destroying the hot glue, so Fern's eyes are PERFECT! 

Third: BADGES AND A T SHIRT WOOOOOOOOOOO

The badges are standard 1-inchers, which is very good to know because I actually have a 1 inch badge maker. If these are "in scale" to Volks, then nothing can stop me from making all the badges i could ever want for my dolls! Hooray! 

I like the shirt too, but I'd be interested in trading it for another shirt. I'm just glad I didn't get eyes...

i got two pairs of eyes 

i do LIKE both these pairs but, i gotta say, i’m really disappointed.

i know gacha are gambling and that’s half the fun but it really feels bad when you actually don’t get what you wanted xD;;

i reallyyyyy wanted a shirt ;-; i’d like a word with whoever packaged my order! >:3

also i spent over 10k yen for my total order and i did not receive a bonus item… did i miss something?

both pairs are 22mm btw

Those gray ones with the butterflies in them? I've gotten two pairs of those from the gacha over the last few years. I guess they're pretty common!

Oh, those wiggly eyes are SO fun though...are those pink, or purple?

they are purple! i have been wanting to try out some purple on Charmi, so these will be a fun place to start :3

I got the exact same set of eyes in my order. Volks must have had some in excess...

And also some badges (of a different design than yours) and sakura eyes.

I wasn't able to nab any gachas because I was too confused about the membership, but if anyone has gacha stuff they don't want.... 👀
