I have exactly the same question, and also, is there a hero or heroine who could share a comparison of the DDdy f3 and dy 2.0 bodies? I saw an official volks blog showing the 2.0 version but I can barely distinguish the differences. A side-by-side comparison would be just the thing.

I love how soft and voluminous the 2.0 body looks! Volks needs to hurry up, I need one of these in Flesh as soon as possible!

From the images it looks like they can be used under the head or inside the head. I asked ChatGPT for a translation of the image test and it sounds like they are meant to help pose stability and basically they act as friction dampers. I've never tried them, but it makes me wonder if they will help keep the head from moving when you tilt it all the way back.

I wonder if it's possible to swap her legs with DDS 2.0, a slightly shorter DDdy 2.0 would look so cute...
Does anyone here own both the DDdy 2.0 and the DD/DDS 2.0 to compare the hip joint(?) sizes?

The f3 DD and DDdy shared a skeleton and only differ in the vinyl shell. From what I've seen that should not be different for their 2.0 versions. In addition, the difference between 2.0 DD and DDS is now only the legs (both skeleton and vinyl shell). Based on that, I'm pretty sure you can mechanically attach 2.0 DDS legs onto a 2.0 DDdy. 

However... DDdy thighs are extremely chonky and require a huge cutout in the torso shell. From the comparison photos, we can see that has gotten even larger for 2.0, to allow for better posing. If you attached DDS legs, you would most likely be left with huge gaps here that you could only hide with a long skirt (the torso might also start flopping around, lacking support from the thighs).

It would definitely be interesting to see someone try this, if they have all the different 2.0 bodies lying around, but It's probably not worth risking to buy extra DDS legs just to try.

To get a bit height reduction without too crazy gaps, I wonder if swapping out just the shins could work?

Yeah, would be cool to se a side by side with a DD/DDS 2.0, or if someone who owns both a DDdy 2.0 and DD/DDS 2.0 could grab a caliper and measure the size of the hip joints/cutouts

Photoshopped the two promo images together and wow, the hip parts are indeed MUCH chonkier

But the shorter shin would work, I think?

Shins should work, I saw someone on twitter use DDS shins on a DY body for the old f3 bodies so I don't see why it wouldn't work for 2.0. Since the neck peg was the only part of the frame that changed I think.

I also was thinking of doing this to a dy 2.0 body whenever they release stand alone as I wanted one of my girls to be a little shorter.

Hope Volks doesn't postpone the stand alone release, I sometimes see DDdy 2.0 bodies on yahoo auctions japan, but they go for about 50k-ish yen right now, which is a lot IMO
 

Have there been any news on the DDdy 2.0 base body release yet? It's been more than half a year since its introduction

The new standard DDdy 2.0 doll, Tsukina, will be dropping on August 8th, so I assume they will come soon after. I think dream choice is also offering them now so it definitely shouldn't be long till we get them online !
