my King of Knights!!

I had never thought I would get back into Dollfie Dreams. I had been heavily engrossed with them since I was a child, yet I thought it died down... until I started reading Fate/Stay Night, and the Saber Dollfie would pop up into my mind.

I fell for Saber's character and the need for my own Saber grew exponentially!! I knew I wanted the original Hollow Ataraxia Saber, since I have a thing for items made in the 2000s and the new Grand Order Saber didn't quite do it for me. 

Luckily, there was a Saber available on Mandarake for 55,000 yen (wayyy better than her 95,000 yen MSRP). I was reallt thinking about if I should purchase her or not since this would be a big purchase for me. Well, if you're thinking about doing something, then do it... and in just 2 days, my Artoria had arrived! (on Halloween, no less)

Unfortunately her armor had been sticky so I left it in dish soap water over night and scrubbed. This helped tremendously yet it's not completely like new, however wayyyy better than how it came.

I only dressed her up in her armor for photos; her breastplate is an absolute pain to keep together and doesn't even snap in place. 

Her eyes are wonky yet this is the original Volks placement and I don't want to mess with that. Her wig is also styled the same as it was 17 years ago!!

I'm grateful to have my Saber finally

Also, I don't think your links are messed up because of anything on your end, instead I believe you just don't have image privileges yet.

Old grumpy is always fun.

The price drop for her after the F/GO junior came out is sort of a relief, since people were asking quite a lot for these making it a bit awkward to just take photos of them.

The eye's should be straight, so it might be the hot glue coming apart, so thats something to look into even though cracking the head open on these with the hard headcap is a pain. (Some models come crosseyed because the eyes clash inside the head, like Illya and Nanoha, but Saber isnt among those).

Also forgot that the armor pieces were vinyl and might sweat... should probably check in on mine... -_-;

Believe it or not getting Saber's headcap off was quite simple for me.. I suspect it's heat from shipping that softened the vinyl yet then again this was at night lol. 

I do plan to rearrange them actually since I want Saber to look her best. 

And yes!! Please check for vinyl sweat before it gets pretty bad! It feels so gross too!

Congrats on your King!  It's great to hear that deals can still be had on Mandarake!

Congrats!  As a fellow Fate fan, it's hard not to love Saber.  Yours looks so good!  A shame about her armor.

The anime versions of Fate: Stay/Night are also really good and I think capture her personality very well.
