Sega Sakura Wars on Obitsu 26

In the last year I picked up three of Sega's 1/6 Sakura Wars dolls: Sakura, Sumire, and Kohran.

The bodies these come with are awful, they can't even stand without a stand and have minimal articulation:

So I swapped them over to Obitsu 26 bodies. The 26 bodies are a bit shorter than the original bodies, but most of the difference is in the legs, so the clothes still fit.

The only area where I had problems with the original clothing was with the feet. Sega's shoes are very tight on the original dolls for Sakura (where they don't actually fit) and Kohran, and turned out to be too narrow and too short, respectively - Sumire's shoes however did work. So in the following pictures Kohran is barefoot and Sakura uses some cheap Azone shoes.

Another problem was with Sakura's and Sumire's heads, which would not fit onto the Obitsu 26 necks properly without cutting away some of the vinyl on the neck.

One other more minor issue is that the clothes are all rather stiff as the tissue used is a bit on the thick side. This makes the dolls look a bit stiff, too.

Sumire:

There's something off in her face that makes her look rather non-expressive compared to the actual character. OTOH, of the three she probably has the best hair.

Kohran:

She comes with one of her robots. Her glasses are reproduced in molded plastic, and fit decently well (no actual glasses tho). Her hairdo is a bit dodgy, especially where the pigtails attach. With the Obitsu 26 she can be put into more dynamic poses, as far as the thick tissue for her qipao allows, but as can be seen it's very hard to avoid flashing her panties while doing so.

Finally, Sakura, who gets the best outfit:

However, her hair is rather badly done on one side (which I've hidden on the pictures by not showing that side), and her hair ribbon isn't actually tied around her pony tail - it just attaches with a piece of string. Her kimono also shows some discolouration around the shoulders. The worst aspect of her outfit is her katana, which has the handle molded straight into the scabbard and thus cannot be drawn out:

"How am I supposed to fight with this?!?"
