Cheri's Faceup and Mods Thread

Recommended Posts

SaraCherie

Decided to make a dedicated thread for this so I don't have to keep making new ones haha. I've got quite a few Dollfie-related projects in the making as of right now. NSFW tag because I like to do body blushing and there will almost certainly be naked dolls in the future. (In fact, I've got an Adyka body mod that I'll do a writeup for in the near future.)

here's a photo I took on my potato phone as a doll tax :3. I've been a fan of Genshin Impact since launch so I decided to shell a couple characters from one of my favorite regions, Remuria.

I did all of his clothes, faceup, eyes, and hair styling as well. I ended up taking a fair amount of liberties with the design, but I think he still turned out pretty nice. The Byzantine Empire is one of my favorite regions in terms of art and fashion so it was a blast to look for inspiration for this one!

I finally got the time to put together some photos for the aforementioned Adyka body.

While I like the body overall, a couple of issues I had with the chest piece prevented me from making it the permanent body for any of my dolls, such as the neck circumference and gaps at the armhole. After getting fed up with the wonkyness of the DDDy hip joint I decided to cobble together my modded L-bust piece and the lower half just to see if it would work...and it did! So with that in mind, I ordered another M bust to better fit the character I was going to shell.

Compared to the DD and DDDy bodies I have, the biggest difference here is the thickness of the waist and underbust, which is only mostly visible from the side. This does have the plus side of making the DD/SD bras fit better.

(Photo of nude bust piece UTC)

If you've modded DD busts to fit on the DDDy, this is the same thing but cut higher. The result is something that looks closer to the SmD bust pieces. As the top of the torso is wider you will have to squish the silicone into the bust piece, but after doing that it fits perfectly. There's a slight color difference under certain lighting in person, but it's not noticeable on camera. For the finishing work I cut the vinyl at an inward angle, making it thinner towards the edge. In my opinion it makes the mod look a lot more professional an polished. I'm very happy with the mod and I think if I ever want another DDDy shaped body in the future I'll go for a silicone hip piece.

Once you slide the bust on the torso comes up a fair amount past the seam, around where my thumb is. This means that gaping is not too much of an issue unless you're doing very exaggerated poses.

I love the doll in your original post and think he looks incredible! And I don't know much about mods, so your second post was an interesting read! :) I'm looking forward to your future posts

Switched operating systems a while back (both on PC and mobile), got engaged, also started preparing for moving, so for a bit I wasn't logged in on any devices. As far as customizing goes I'll likely still have to pause that until I settle into a new home, but I've got some other creative outlets up my sleeve.

Finally remembered to login now that I've got my stuff to a daily-driver worthy state. (Hmm, maybe one day I'll be able to find a way to mix my passion for Linux and Dollfie together...)

Here's a full body picture of Boethius as doll tax! I got a nice refurbished Pixel 8 and I'm quite happy with the camera quality of this one, it's definitely an upgrade from my previous phone. I took a walk yesterday with my wife and brought him along for photos. She likes him too so he's graduated from "my son" to "our son" lol2026-04-12-12-11-07-525.jpg.60e6a60a0a20cbad062d54d8369f277e.jpg

For those of you that want a way to lock your dolls' hairstyles in place but hate working with gel, as I do, I've found a solution that's pretty inexpensive (at least in the US.)

This hairspray is by a Korean brand called Elizavecca. It comes as a liquid in a small spray bottle, so it's easier to control than your average areosol hairspray. I've found I get good results by spraying a bit on my hands and coating the hair with it

It dries into a hard cast incredibly fast and smells nice to boot. It also doesn't give the hair a wet look as many high hold gels do

Always love to try different products. I typically use got2b glued hair spray, but I might give this one a go. (As an aside, this is the brand of sunblock sticks I get for my hand tattoos lol. So I'll buy a bottle next time I restock on that.)
