Shoes?

Heyas! Wondering if anyone has recommendations for their favorite places to purchase shoes for DD 2.0 other than Volks?

I’m waiting on a few cheap gambles off Ali and one pair from Denver Doll that are supposed fit Smartdoll (same size feet as DD, yes?) but would love other resources that are already proven to fit DDs. 🙏

I just get anything labeled SD size. They fit fine. I've gotten them from Alice's Collections and Ali + DDE and wherever else.

Do not recommend "canvas shoes" from Ali however. They're very hit or miss. The quality control is bad and some of them are very lopsided on the inside which means the feet can't properly sit inside them

I've purchased from MoriTime on Etsy many times, they're a drop shipper for Chinese makers from Taobao, but I've only had good experiences buying from them.  If you're comfortable using a Taobao proxy, lost-valhalla.world.taobao.com and cls-doll.world.taobao.com have great shoes, and I've bought from both before as well.  

Shoes tend to be the hardest thing to source because there aren’t that many shoe makers compared to clothing, wig and eye makers, and a lot of shoes out there are not very good quality.

I strongly recommend Taobao if you can use it, but if not, there are resellers on AliExpress that offer the same shoes you can find on Taobao for reasonable prices. Etsy resellers seem to have more of a markup, but a better selection from higher end brands.

Yeah, most of my dolls' shoes are either from Volks or from Taobao through various resellers (usually at conventions here in Japan).

There's a few other places that I got nice DD shoes from too, though:

The two pairs I got from Cotin Doll are among the nicest doll shoes I have. 

Petit Marie has some interesting options too. Although their Amazon store seems a bit messy with a lot of stuff out of stock.

SmD feet are a bit slimmer than DD feet, but the same length. If you get SmD shoes directly from Culture Japan, they'll be too tight to fit on a DD easily. Other manufacturers may leave a bit more space so their stuff fits DD too. I don't have experience with Denver Doll specifically, so we'll have to wait and see...
