Painful search for an wig.

Now, while waiting for the chance for being able to get an DDS Miku, Rin, Len, the elf twins from FFXIV, any chars from an fandom I know of, I decided to get myself an DDS, esp the the new 2.0 one. Now, the USA store has it out of stock while the JPN store is in stock, just getting low. Now, I can't spend it on it yet due to the fact my money isn't enough to buy it and the fact that I already preorder the Kokichi Oma Neneroid the moment I heard the news. However, that doesn't stop me from planning. I already have an idea for the DDS since I'm going to make one of my OCS as an DDS doll. I found some outfits that makes me go "Yeah, that fits" plus finding the style of the eye all while having the left eye grey and the right eye red. Now, this is the part where I'm having the most trouble in; wig. Now, I know what color I want for the wig, it's just that I need an short twintail of the wig and as far as I can search, the store don't have it. Now, I can commn someone to make the hair for it since I like spending money to support folks. It's just sometimes I...don't have enough funds.

I wonder if anyone has ever experience it or something similar to this cause like the DD dolls are very cute and has the anime style. It's just can be hard to search for certain items.

Depending on how particular you are, this can be (and often is) a perpetual dilemma. Especially when you’re shelling an OC or character without an official release, you will always be looking for a more accurate wig, eyes, outfit, etc. Everyone comes into the hobby thinking they’ll just buy one doll and be content with the fullset, but you will almost inevitably get pulled into the trap of constant consumption in order to get your doll exactly the way you want it. If funds are a problem for you, it will be easier and more economical to just learn how to do all of this yourself because the spiral never ends.

That is true, I could learn how to make a wig in a certain style and bam! Wig for my first DDS that isn't an collab DD. I can just search up guides on how to make one, but I have to talk to mom about making an wig since she might be wondering why on earth am I spending money on an custom wig I'm about to make.

I don’t mean necessarily that you have to make the wig from scratch (although that’s certainly an option). You can source an unstyled wig for relatively cheap, and cut and style it yourself to save costs.
