Spam (SystemAlert is a spam account FYI)

There seems to be a large uptick in spam accounts. I just got a DM from an account called 'SystemAlert' telling me my account was suspended. I've been seeing a lot of this and reporting it, I wonder if there's some way to make this kind of thing harder. Dunno.

Oh, yeah! I also got this as well. I didn't realize it until I stop mentally panicking when I realize that to verfiy, you don't need to reveal your personal infomation. I did click on the link prior to the realization, but I'm glad I didn't put any info though! ...I may need to wipe my browser clean though...

Can't edit the post due to New Member status nor I can upload image, but it looks like SystemAlert set their account to private. Not sure for everyone else, but I figure I can just let y'all know.

This user has been shut down and all posts deleted.

There are only 3 people who help maintain this forum and that is myself, Averis and Beyondtime.  Unless one of us contacts you about something dealing with your account, then know that it is false and spam.  We have no bots that do this, we do not need any verification info from you and will never ask for any unless something has gone drastically wrong with the forum setup.  Even then we will not need any info such as your name or address or anything else private.

We always appreciate people sharing these spammers with us and I check here every day for things like this.  I may not make as many posts as I used to but I *am* here every single day reading posts, checking messages and cleaning up Marketplace threads.

Oh, this is vile! Good thing this got shut down so quickly.

I wasn't aware that new members were even able to send DMs.

Honestly, I think the site needs to disable dms for new members for the time being. Sure, I did dm someone for the DD Discord server and waiting for the reply, but I can still wait more.
