OwlishBree Posted March 14 Can anyone recommend a legit site/maker that sells posable or articulated hands for DD that match the skin tones and look amazing? My biggest issue isn’t even the cost of the various Volks’ ones, it’s how difficult they are to swap. I don’t want to have to get out the hair dryer every time I do an outfit change. I don't have any advice on where to find articulated hands, but I do know ow that with the official ones, many collectors buy extra wrist pegs and just leave the hands on them. Like, each hand has its own peg, so you don't have to swap between them.
0bsequi0us Posted March 14 YMMV on whether they look amazing or not, but here's a taobao shop that sells articulated hands for MDD and DD. I actually have a pair and they hold poses very well, though the trade-off there is that it takes a little more force than I expected to pose them. I believe they're articulated with wire, which makes me a tad nervous because I know wire can weaken overtime with repeated bending. 1 Pixel art by @PlasticJester ! cluffy Posted March 14 there is also a japanese dealer who makes articulated hands for many kinds of dolls, including dd! here's a link to their site: https://gensoushop.cart.fc2.com/ & here's a link to an old thread by @/gallye showing some photos of the hands they received with a secondhand doll! i personally find the shape of the fingers on these to be really cute ( ⸝⸝´ ᵕ `⸝⸝) but i'll also second @/giallo_gatta & say that if money isn't an issue, buying multiple hand/wrist pegs from volks makes swapping hands extremely easy and quick!
Kemonomimicry Posted March 14 There's also this Booth shop that sells various types of articulated hands: https://tanakaya-san.booth.pm/item_lists/r1LT6l9v They're also on Yahoo Auctions Japan. The hands use special bendable wire that can't break.
