Deterioration on sailor senshi outfits?

Recommended Posts

CatGirl

I was recently able to snag DDS Sailor Venus, and she's absolutely stunning! However I noticed on her sailor fuku that the (pleather?) shoulder rolls seem to be cracking. It looks like a different material from the shoulder rolls on my Mercury's outfit, and Mercury's look fine. I attached pics of both for comparison.

Has this happened with anyone else's sailor senshi outfits? I just want to make sure that the shoulders on Venus's outfit won't crack any further, so would applying sealant help?

Thank you!

I’ll compare mine, but it will be a few days before I can.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction.

I have so many dolls that they have formed their own country.

Sorry, it took me a bit before I could pull the outfit out. I'm not seeing any deterioration or cracking. I compared it to Jupiter's and it looks identical. I think environment will play some role in how long this stuff lasts. You could send the outfit out to someone to get the pleather bits replaced if they fall apart. If the base outfit starts to deteriorate it could maybe be upgraded into the super sailor version where chiffon bits take the place of some of the shoulder padding, and they might be able to wrap the pleather at the waist with cloth. The only bits I worry about are the boots because it's plastic laminated on fabric.
