He is here!! (DD H16)

When I saw this custom Tartaglia, I thought it would fit in well with the family, since I'm a big Genshin Impact fan. It wasn't an impulse buy; I took my time deciding and finally bought him.

I was really excited to receive him, and he's more than welcome in the family, but it did bring a surprise that the seller didn't mention. It was advertised as a DD boy, and I thought I was buying a boy. The seller never mentioned that what I was buying was a DD2 body with a small chest piece. At first, it bothered me a little, and I feel like I overpaid for it, since the body is the first DD2 version. The good thing is that the body looks like it's barely been used. Although it arrived very dirty, it doesn't have any stains, and the joints are stiff, so I guess I'll create a new female character when I get a proper boy body for him. I'm a little worried about the hands because I couldn't get them off. They don't seem flexible at all. I don't know where they came from, but I don't think they're from a DD doll.

BTW, can anyone help me guess which DD doll head he's using? I'm terrible at recognizing head molds!

those _could_ be DD hands - Volks has done a few characters in the past which came with extra hands, already done to look like they wore gloves. Perhaps the seller pulled those hands from a Kirito doll?

The head looks like a DDH-16 and the hands look like DDII-H-06B (the large ones).

He does look like a DDH-16! Congrats on your find - even if the body isn't what you were expecting, the head is super cool.

You could also try pulling out the hands wrist joints and all - if you can grab the wrist ball and wriggle it out a little, the whole peg should pull straight out. It'll be (somewhat) easier to get the hands off the wrist pegs that way. When I got my first DD I found that getting hands on and off the wrist pegs was a nightmare and I bought an extra set of wrist pegs for her option hands.

Thank you very much @Anna-neko !! The hands have the gloves carved so you can be right. I don't have any contact with them, so I can't ask.

Thank you very much for your help @ragnamuffin!! I have just checked the hands and you are right. The only thing is that the gloves are carved in the hands. They don't look like a mod from the seller. 

It's so nice to know which mold is his head!!!

Thank you very much for your words @Gallye. I love his face so I feel really happy to know which his facemold is! 

To be able to take of his jacket I had to pull out the pegs because the hands were too wig. It's a great idea to get a second pair of hands and the pegs to make it easier. I will check that!! 

I know nothing about genshin but he's really cute! That is kinda a bummer about the body. They should've been clear. But I do find that I don't mind the "ss bust on a girl body" as a boy at all. There truly isn't much of a difference once clothed imo

@GirlWiththeDragoonTattoo I think that it was more the "surprise" than his appearance. You're right, when he's dressed there's not much difference. 

I fact, I perceive him as a man, despite his body.

Indeed, it seems @Anna-neko is correct about them being Kirito hands.
